Okay Buying Experience, but Problems Since I was in the market for a vehicle and Rock Chevrolet had it. I had my old vehicle as a trade which they gave me $500 for. A fair price. My first qualm I was in the market for a vehicle and Rock Chevrolet had it. I had my old vehicle as a trade which they gave me $500 for. A fair price. My first qualm came when my salesman Bryant listed his price which was about $750 above the price listed on the internet. In the end I talked him down to a fair price for us both and in the deal agreed to have some tires I would provide mounted by the dealership for free. The deal was done and the paperwork signed. The day after I realized I left a pair of prescription sunglasses and an IPASS in my old vehicle. Frantic I called Rock Chevrolet and asked them to set my stuff aside. The guy who answered said it would be no problem and a porter would remove the items from my car and they would be left for me. I set up the tire appointment for three weeks later (the earliest they had that I could attend) and waited. I went back to the dealership with my tires three weeks later. While they were being mounted I asked the service clerk for my sunglasses and IPASS. She gave me a puzzled look and proceeded to look for them with Bryant my salesman only to find they did not have them. My prescription glasses and IPASS were lost in spite of their assurance they were safe. After a call to IPASS customer service I proceeded to wait three hours to have four tires mounted and balanced. Unacceptably long in my book as nobody even approached me to update me on the time frame. I had to seek out the service guy and find out what was going on. A tip Rock Chevrolet: Communicating with your customer after losing their property is a good idea when nobody expects to wait that long to have tires installed. After all was said and done I am out my personal effects and some time. Would I do it different all over again? Probably not. The sale was good albeit deceptive, but I could have walked away at any time. My rub was with the loss of my stuff and the long time spent waiting to have tires installed. I would not recommend them nor would I buy another vehicle from them in the future. Breaking a customer's trust by losing their stuff ruins the experience. Nonetheless thank you Rock Chevy for the experience and the vehicle. More
Thank you John P. and Rock Chevrolet I had an excellent experience. He was very pleasant, helpful, patient, and explained everything clearly. He managed to get the paperwork done as smoothly and quickly as possible. Because I received all the necessary documents right away, I did not have to be concerned about going to the DMV or contacting my insurance company directly. . The result was that I drove home with all the necessary documents and felt very comfortable being behind the wheel for the first time in my new car. He also helped me with some minor details after I got home and had some additional questions and concerns which he resolved over the phone. More

Our salesman, Chris G I am going to go back and buy my next car at the Rock after my great experience! The price that was negotiated was unbeatable. Our salesman, Chris G. went out of his ways to get us a great deal and have us walk out of there happy with the right car to fit what we were looking for. The experience with the rest of the staff, from insurance to finance was incredibly friendly. Comfortable experience all around. More

Bait and Switch - might as well just bend over I have been shopping for a vehicle for a bit and I finally came across Rock. They seemed great and since I had a sick child, I tried to do everything I have been shopping for a vehicle for a bit and I finally came across Rock. They seemed great and since I had a sick child, I tried to do everything ahead of time, which they did. I didn't want to sit in the dealership. I got preapproved for a list of vehicles that I gave them and with the monthly payment I was comfortable with. I was dealing with Leo, Mike, and Tim. Well, when I got there, and I told them when I was coming, none of them was there. My approval was for a new Chevy which I didn't want. I had to go through all of this again. Now my approval had to be redone and the monthly payment was double with what I wanted. I also had to sit in the dealership for over 2 hours, again, not what I wanted. I finally took the deal because I had to take a train from the city and walk there. I get in the vehicle and only 1 key fob, they didn't have the other. Also, no gas in the tank. They didn't fill it up. Scammers and cheats. Do not wast your time and money. If I could give no stars, I would. More
SCAMMERS at LARGE I had been receiving calls from them several times a day for several weeks. Finally, they got a hold of me. I spoke with Darrian, who in turn gave me I had been receiving calls from them several times a day for several weeks. Finally, they got a hold of me. I spoke with Darrian, who in turn gave me her "stupidvisor", Amanda. I explained my situation in detail. She then called me back within minutes to tell me that my "issues" are of no concern and I will be financed without question. I asked over and over if she was sure....of course she was, (as they were time after time. I explained that I did not want to waste my gas, nor my time or hers. I get to cRock, (still the same as Rockenbach, they just dropped the 'enbach') Sure enough these fools got me again, (more so my fault for falling for their scam). The guy at the front desk is a real piece of work too. I asked to speak with Darrian and/or Amanda, but he told me they did not work there. So I walked over to the side and called the number that "Darrien" called me from, and waala.......right in front of my face she answered the phone. She was about 15 feet away from the front desk. In one way or another they remind me of a "payday loan" company, who constantly calls me for a loan....only difference they are overseas and barely speak English. Start your new car experiences fresh and keep away from these "SCAMMERS" More
Disturbed and Harassed I spent a couple days negotiating and was told we had a deal. I signed an acceptance of delivery and went home to get the title for my trade in expecting to be driving home my new car that evening. I got back to the dealer and was put with a new sales person who told me that the price was $57 a month more than previously negotiated and that no one would be able to sell me the car for the previously negotiated price. They then tried to convince me to lease. I left the dealer extremely unsatisfied. To add insult to injury 2 months after this happened the salesperson left me harassing text messages swearing at me and telling me the car was the ugliest car he had ever seen and that suited me perfectly. The tone of the messages left me uneasy that this person had my contact information. I would NEVER go back. I find the behavior unacceptable and am following up with Chevrolet/GM's corporate customer service. More

But if I need anything done, I am not at all hesitant to go to the Rock Chevrolet in Grayslake. Actually it's funny because I needed an oil change and although one of my friends offered to do it for free, I knew I wouldn't trust anyone else other than the Rock. And I am so glad I go there because they're all super friendly, fast, know what they're doing and all around amazing. I would definitely recommend going here, I haven't had a negative experience at all :) More
