They were not pushy and made the buying so easy, no stress at all. We would highly recommend Mary to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Edit: Thank you, City Auto, for reaching out to me and working to make this right. A member of management (several members) did indeed reach out to me in an effort to make me satisfied as a customer. In t working to make this right. A member of management (several members) did indeed reach out to me in an effort to make me satisfied as a customer. In the end, I am as satisfied as I can be. The experience up front prevents me from being %100 satisfied, but my experience on the back end greatly improved the situation overall. I understand that how things went down for me was not how City Auto usually does business. This was not the first vehicle that I bought from them, and I know of several other people who have bought from them, and that is why I was surprised by the negative experience in the beginning. My first thought was that City Auto has just fallen off, and once they had my money, were no longer concerned with how my deal was working out for me. I no longer believe that. I understand that when buying a used car, things happen. My above experience, while very unfortunate, was not the usual way of doing things. So, would I buy a car from City Auto again? Tentatively, but yes. So far this is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. The first day I had the car, the check engine light came on. I was instructed to bring it back to City Auto for repairs. After five days, I finally got a response from the salesperson that the car was ready. When I got there, it took him half an hour to find the car. When he finally came back, he just handed me the keys and said “here you go.” He didn’t tell me what had been worked on, and when asked for paperwork he said it wouldn’t be available for a couple days, then he would get it to me. That was two weeks ago and I haven’t been told anything. That first day I got the car back, the check engine light came on again for the same problem. When I informed the salesman of that, he said “I’m sending the information to the people that can take care of that situation.” That was a week ago, and I haven’t heard anything, and the salesperson has stopped responding to my texts and emails. So now I’ve had this car three weeks and can’t drive it. I’ve called the main number, and they just direct me back to the inept salesperson. I waited in this economy to buy a much-needed second vehicle, and to say I’m disappointed is a massive understatement. I do not recommend making a purchase through these guys. The customer service was terrible from the start, all the way around, and I feel like a fool. More

I agreed to a trade-in back in December on a buick, and waited three weeks with lackluster communication from the dealership. Upon week 3, i decided to go up there myself and was met with a bunch of lies from Calvin regarding problems with the car and why they wouldn'tfix it. I can admit they offered me $2000 off the car to fix whatever was wrong. They told me they put in two differentials at their location and didn't want to outsource due to the amount of money they put into it already. Calvin proceeded to contradict himself several times with the normal salesperson talk, in other words, lies. There wasn't an adequate resolution made as after waiting three weeks, this company could have went to the GM dealer to solve the issue, but cheaped out for no good reason other than they would have to write me a check for my trade in on top of fixing a car they knew was broken when i signed. This dealership represents the worst of Memphis, but luckily my salesman Nate gave me a decent amount of respect throughout the process, reassuring Memphis isn't that bad. Its just a few bad actors like the sales manager who blatantly lied and the poor business practices of City Auto to uphold the reputation that casts a shadow over this city. Make this your last stop if you ever decide you want to shop for a car or better yet skip it and travel out of state. More

DO NOT BUY from City Auto! They do not inspect their cars prior to selling. Not responsive and will lie to your face about work that has been completed on said car. I told them I'd go by credit union in morning g to pick up the check. They asked me to come by to sign paperwork the evening g before I picked up check. Couldn't get a ride there. It snowed so credit union was closed on Wednesday delayed paperwork. . Called Jimmy Pogue twice asking about the extended warranty, no response. Steven Toombs in finance worked with my brother inlaw and still wouldn't hold vehicle for me. All they had to do was call and confirm I was approved, nope! I purchased a 2017 Cadillac XT5 and Mary McDaniel was the sales person. She was very friendly and extremely helpful. They offer a 30 day/1000 mile warranty on the car which doesn't sound like much but mo the sales person. She was very friendly and extremely helpful. They offer a 30 day/1000 mile warranty on the car which doesn't sound like much but most used cars are as is. I live in Hot Springs Arkansas which is a 3 hour drive to the dealer, but for the deal I got it was well worth it. The very next day the thermostat went out and I was prepared to drive back to Memphis to use the warranty to get it fixed. It was suggested that I get it repaired in Hot Springs and they would cover the cost. I did that today and 45 minutes after City Auto was contacted that the repairs were completed the bill was paid. I couldn't ask for better customer service and definitely recommend this dealership. Every bit a 5 star company. Ask for Mary when you go. More
I'm Kenneth Adams from Houston, Texas, I flew in to pick up my Van and drove it back home. Only to find out I was driving without a spare tire and a worn tire on my passage side. I was told all tires had be up my Van and drove it back home. Only to find out I was driving without a spare tire and a worn tire on my passage side. I was told all tires had been replaced with new ones only to find out at a gas station that was untrue. Once I discovered the tire was defective. I was paranoid about driving and hoping I didn't have a blowout. It was a scary and nervous ride home. I had to drive 567 miles home with no spare, a bad tire, and a tire with a missing sensor. It's been almost two months since I sent them pictures and a receipt for a new tire and sensor. I'm still missing one tire, for the spare, yet they have not responded. I was told I would be reimbursed. I ask where is the customer service. By the Grace of God, I made it home safely. More
The customer service is non-existent. You call asking for your sales person, your finance person, etc. and they are either not at work yet, are not at their desk, or don’t return your cal You call asking for your sales person, your finance person, etc. and they are either not at work yet, are not at their desk, or don’t return your call. Tried time and again to reach my finance person because they needed my signature on a document. Went by City Auto twice with no luck and no one else knew anything about the paperwork. I finally reach the guy today and he says oh, we got our title and tag person to sign since we have power of attorney. One, that bit of information was a surprise (Note to self, look at the paperwork more slowly next time) and why didn’t someone let me know I didn’t have to sign the paperwork? No one knows what anyone else is doing there and it’s next to impossible to reach the people you need to talk to. More
