Mr. Thrush, While we appreciate the positive comments regarding our team, as I had mentioned to you previously, our organization reserves the right to set pricing as we see fit, and also to consider and approve or reject offers based on our company's guidelines. At one point, there was an agreement in place for a number, which you of your own volition, changed your mind, then lowered your offer at a later time. As we spoke about in our email exchange from 4 weeks ago, we appreciate your offer, however I mentioned then that it was not an offer we were willing to accept at this time, but if that were to change, we would reach out to you personally. Unfortunately, sending the exact same offer on the same day of placing this review does not encourage us to change our position. We had hoped that by providing a courteous and professional response would discourage negative feedback, however we are disappointed to find this was not the case. We wish you the best of luck with your vehicle search moving forward, and do hope you find a vehicle that suit your needs.

Dear Celebrity Ford I fully understand and respect your right to set pricing and evaluate offers based on your dealership's guidelines and internal strategy. My intention throughout this process has never been to undermine that right or diminish the efforts of your team—who, as I’ve expressed previously, have conducted themselves with courtesy and professionalism. To clarify, the review I posted was not written in bad faith or intended as retaliation. It was simply my candid experience as a potential customer who did their due diligence, made a reasonable market-based offer, and felt it appropriate to share that perspective. Reviews, in my view, are meant to be honest—reflecting both the strengths and limitations of any business transaction from the customer’s point of view. I recognize that may be disappointing to hear, but it is not a reflection of personal animosity or disrespect. Yes, I did revise my offer during the course of our discussions, but that was in response to market changes and further pricing research over time. Negotiation is a fluid process, and I believe I approached it with sincerity and seriousness throughout. I also respected your prior response that you would reach out if circumstances changed, and my most recent outreach was simply a continuation of that conversation—not an attempt to provoke or leverage feedback. I appreciate the time and attention you’ve provided and will continue my search with the same level of diligence I’ve brought to this process. You were at 52,500 i was at 49k you never came to the 49k. I did plenty of valid research on the cars value. 47k is a solid offer if you add in all the details. You're response is very fraudulent trying to save face. I could easily delete all comments if you want to get serious about a deal. If you want to go to the beginning, i offered 45k and i was able to get your sales rep to 54,500 than you had a drop in all your prices to 52,500 and i upped it at one point to over pay at 49k but after much hard and long research the value that would be great me and you the dealer would be a sale of 47k.... anyone can do the research and know what is worth. Sincerely, Adam Trush

What is a fair equal price for both the buyer and dealership to pay for the car in the pictures. ChatGPT said: Based on current market data and recent transactions, a fair and realistic out-the-door (OTD) price for the 2023 Ford Explorer Platinum AWD 3.0L EcoBoost with approximately 100 miles (VIN: 1FM5K8HC4PGB26503) would be in the range of $44,000 to $46,000. 📊 Market Data Overview Original MSRP: Approximately $56,670 cargurus.com +1 cargurus.com +1 Invoice Price: Approximately $54,403 cargurus.com +1 cargurus.com +1 Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price: Around $40,701 kbb.com J.D. Power Average Price Paid: Approximately $45,250 jdpower.com Used 2023 Explorer Platinum Listings: 5,507 miles: $47,680 24,305 miles: $45,288 35,377 miles: $41,989 cargurus.com +8 cargurus.com +8 webbford.net +8 🔍 Key Considerations Depreciation: As a 2023 model in mid-2025, the vehicle has undergone significant time-based depreciation, despite its low mileage. Warranty Start Date: The factory warranty may have commenced when the vehicle was first placed into inventory, potentially reducing the remaining coverage period. Market Competition: Comparable Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) models offer extended warranties and have undergone reconditioning, often at similar or lower price points. 🎯 Recommended Offer Strategy Target OTD Price: Aim for an offer between $44,000 and $46,000, considering the factors above. Trade-In Consideration: If you have a trade-in vehicle, its appraised value can be used to offset the purchase price, potentially making a higher offer more palatable to the dealership. Flexibility: Be prepared for the dealership to counteroffer. Having a clear understanding of your maximum budget and the vehicle's market value will aid in negotiations.

Based on current market data and the specifics of the vehicle in question—a new, old-stock 2023 Ford Explorer Platinum AWD 3.0L EcoBoost with approximately 100 miles (VIN: 1FM5K8HC4PGB26503)—a fair and realistic out-the-door (OTD) price for both you and the dealership would likely fall between $44,000 and $46,000.

Using the window sticker that I have provided what should I pay for this car. ChatGPT said: Thanks for sharing the Monroney (window) sticker. Based on this official document, here's a breakdown and what you should realistically expect to pay for the 2023 Ford Explorer Platinum 4WD. 🧾 Key Pricing Information (from the sticker) Description Price Base Price $56,220.00 Total Options/Other $4,010.00 Destination & Delivery $1,595.00 Total MSRP $61,825.00 📉 Realistic Fair Market Price (Out-the-Door) Considering this is a 2023 model, and it is now mid-2025, significant depreciation applies — even if it’s technically new or has very low miles (100 mi). Here's what market trends and valuation tools suggest: Category Estimate (USD) Realistic Fair Purchase Price (retail buyer) $44,000–$46,000 OTD Absolute Maximum to Pay (if CPO + extended warranty) $47,000 OTD Target Negotiation Range$42,500–$45,500 OTD ⚖️ Justification ✅ Depreciation: A 2-year-old vehicle, even with low miles, depreciates 15–25% per year. ✅ Market Competition: Similar trims from 2023 with under 10k miles are listed between $41,000–$48,000 retail. ✅ Warranty Impact: Warranty started from the original in-service date, not today, reducing its remaining value. ⚠️ Dealer Markups: MSRP is often used as a starting point, but shouldn't be paid in 2025 for a 2023 model unless extremely discounted. 💵 Pro Tip: Use This Line in Negotiation “Given this is a 2023 model with a 2025 calendar date and accounting for depreciation and warranty timing, I believe $44,000 out-the-door is a fair and competitive offer — especially when I see similar certified models in that range with more miles. I'm ready to proceed today if we can agree around that number.”
