I got a fair trade in value and was more than pleased with the price of my vehicle. Deffinitely the first place you should stop when buying a vehicle. More

I visited Cavalier Ford/Lincoln at 1515 S. Military Highway, Chesapeake, VA 23320, for the first time on July 15, 2013, to shop for a family sedan. When I entered Cavalier's clean and brightly lit sho Highway, Chesapeake, VA 23320, for the first time on July 15, 2013, to shop for a family sedan. When I entered Cavalier's clean and brightly lit showroom, I was greeted by a Senior Sales Representative, Mr. William J. Connolly (Jay), who helped me throughout the process of purchasing a beautiful Ford Taurus SHO, about 7 hours later that day. Without being intrusive or pushy, Mr. Connolly patiently answered all of my questions and gave me a tour of Cavalier's impressive and expansive inventory and facilities, including a short trip through its (what appeared to be) highly organized Service Department. I was very impressed by Mr. Connolly's deep knowledge and presentation of all facets of purchasing a car at Cavalier, from providing product information to his nuanced customer interaction, always with a well-balanced and productive professionalism. I also believe that I received a reasonably good price for the car I purchased at Cavalier. One final note. During reasonable intervals when Mr. Connolly had to leave me alone, including to look for various things that I was inquiring about, the rest of the Cavalier staff courteously checked on me from time to time to ensure I didn't feel abandoned--again, without being intrusive or pushy. Cavalier Ford/Lincoln is a nice showroom with a deep Ford/Lincoln inventory. It has a nice staff and competitive prices. As such, I would recommend it to everybody. I am planning to go back there for maintenance and servicing of my new Ford Taurus SHO and, hopefully, to purchase more cars in the future. M. Kayagil 7/26/2013 More

I wish I hadn't bought my 2011 ford focus at Cavalier Ford. I loved my car until my first oil change and tire rotation after that my car ran poorly and vibrated badly. Well after two trips back, the serv Ford. I loved my car until my first oil change and tire rotation after that my car ran poorly and vibrated badly. Well after two trips back, the service Manager told me that the tires were of low quality and would replace them with a upgraded set I said great and thanked him. Three hours later out comes my car with the exact brand, model, and size tire that I had on it before. I was told they had to replace them with the same brand, and that if I had a problem with the tires again they would be replaced with a better tire. Well 1500 miles later they started doing the same thing. When I made my next service appointment and mentioned the tire problem had returned. I was told I would be seeing the orange team. When I arrived and pulled up to the orange team booth Mike told me that “I needed to go to the blue booth” which was busy at that time. Then said in a bothered tone “I guess I can write you up” he then threw the ticket and number on my dash and told me to go to the blue booth and the process started over. Nether one of the service writers had any information about my past 3 visits or knew anything about what was promised to me on my earlier visits. I was then told by the blue team service writer in order to get the free oil change I would need to pay 24.95 for a tire rotation. After that I told them to forget the oil change and to fix the rattle in the engine and fix my tires. Two hours later they returned my car to me. I was not told what was done to my car or why my car was making a rattling noise or what was wrong with the tires I ended up having to read the service report on my way out so if I had any questions I would have to walk back and find the service writer. They ended up rotating the tires and saying nothing was wrong with them, changing the oil, and finding the air intake pipe was hitting something and making the rattling noise. So in the end they didn't do as I asked. I will have to replace the 3 month old tires myself which only have 4500 miles and still vibrate. It is difficult believe a dealership will allow their service department to be ran in this manner and with rude employes to boot. So in conclusion, they don't do as they promise, their service writers are rude, their free oil change for life is a joke, their service technicians are mediocre at best. More
Initially I was impressed...as the night ran long and negotiation got heavy our salesman got a little impatient with us and pretty much "gave up" on the deal and walked away from us. Granted, he spent q negotiation got heavy our salesman got a little impatient with us and pretty much "gave up" on the deal and walked away from us. Granted, he spent quite a bit of time with us and it seemed as though the deal was dead (I understand the frustration). HOWEVER, we continued to negotiate with the used car sales manager. Eventually we agreed to terms and the sale was made. It was not until the END of everything that our salesman came back and wanted to deal with us like nothing ever happened. I forgave him, but it left a bad taste in my mouth, thus this review. My used vehicle was NOT cleaned and according to him (the salesman) I was not entitled to a full tank of gas because it was a "used" car! HUH?!?!? I WAS promised a FULL detail if I bring the vehicle back to the dealership, but being that I used to sell cars the standard for me was a little low! POSITIVES....GREAT prices (they don't have a bunch of fancy overhead as other big name franchises), friendly staff (especially Larry and the finance manager DAVID - AWESOME)! Would I recommend Cavalier - Yes! I'll just chalk up my experience to an isolated incident (bad eggs for breakfast or something) :) Overall, I'd go back, and wouldn't steer you away. Just wanted to express that my particular experience was a little challenging! More
