My 02 Ram 1500 with 162K miles provided many years of reliable service. Time for a new truck! This is my third Mopar (Dakota, 02, & 2013 Ram 1500) all purchased new. The first and recent purchase at Carl Burger Dodge. The dealership is stuck in a 1970's time warp of old school car dealership looks and operations. You have the typical greeter, closer, good cop/bad cop and finance guy doing the up sell. I found the staff fairly honest and they "listened". When you say "I can pay X" they tried to hit the number without to much back/forth talking with the Wizard of Oz. The great OZ always seems to find another rebate or do-dad that makes the number hopefully lower. Credit goes to Chris the young sales associate. He's not a truck owner, but listened to my technical requirements about gearing and how I wanted the truck configured. We got some exercise walking the sales lot checking out all the trucks. Your in for an eye opener if you haven't driven a new RAM. Prior to visiting Carl Burger I test drove the Silverado and Tundra. The Chevy was okay, but the Tundra instrumentation and cab interior is a head case. When you step into the new Ram and feel the HEMI power...its GAME OVER! The 2013 RAM with MDS nearly doubles the 02 gas mileage, plus 30% more horse power and a great interior design. The Carl Burger sales crew clearly answered questions about the truck features, new technology, gearing and actually understood what they are selling. Unlike the other brand sales team that couldn't answer basic questions about tow capacity matched to gear ratios. You are selling trucks... right? Overall the team at Carl Burger Dodge did a good job. It took awhile to get the deal done(me being picky) but the end result is a happy Dodge Ram 2013 owner. Can you say Hemi, Hemi, Hemi... We probably drove past 100 dealerships to get to Carl Burger but every-time we make a purchase here we leave completely satisfied. The staff were again so efficient, so friendly, minimized the process as much as possible and greatly reduced our wait time. Barrett was our initial contact and his knowledge of cars, and the deals he had on the yard was impressive. he presented us with several options that suited our budget and even went into bat to find cars outside of our budget that could also possibly work. His promptness to respond to email and phone calls and swiftness to return calls was on par with the highest levels of customer service found in the upper echelon of the corporate world! Gibson closed the deal for us, taking over from Barrett, and what a personable, warm friendly guy. After a short time with him we felt like we had known him as a friend for years, Gibson giving us fantastic information and advice on the best places to hike and vacation in California as a family! this made the paperwork side of the process fly. before we knew it, the paperwork was done and it was off to see Wes in finance. Wes, was presented with our 'deal' and even though we arrived with our finance already in place at 1.98%. Wes felt he may be able to beat what we honestly thought was unbeatable financing, and less than 10 minutes later he presented us with the good news that he could finance us for much lower! we drove out of the dealership with an extraordinary purchase, with an incredibly positive experience, with possibly the best finance deal in San Diego! Then going through accounting, which is always an issue at most dealerships. Usually the accounting team just wants to squeeze every penny out of you before you sign. Berrett Pricor one of the accounting managers there at Carl Burger. Talked through all of the plans, again not pushing me which tends to make me upset, but setup all of the options, let me pick what I thought made sense. He also in the process saw that I had paid for an extended warranty and insurance on my trade in that I could transfer and get a refund on. He didn't have to do that and I'm pretty sure most wouldn't have, but I ended up after the deal was already done, getting refunded a considerable amount. These are my guys and I will be back to purchase from them again. You get an opportunity and have read this. Go buy from them.
