I recently purchased a 2025 Tahoe Z71 from Cargill Chevrolet, and after dealing with several other dealerships, I can confidently say most dealers are still stuck playing games—Cargill isn’t - especia Chevrolet, and after dealing with several other dealerships, I can confidently say most dealers are still stuck playing games—Cargill isn’t - especially now that its under new management. I came into this process fully prepared: pre-approved financing, strong understanding of interest rates, and real trade-in offers for my 2021 Silverado 2500HD. I knew exactly what a fair deal looked like. Dealerships like Bolles Motors, Gengras Chevrolet, Papa's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich made the process unnecessarily painful. They dodged simple questions, refused to give out-the-door pricing unless you came in, pushed vague “dealer add-ons” they couldn’t explain, and tried to run the typical four-square nonsense to control the conversation. Some even insisted on taking copies of my license upfront—clearly more interested in working the deal behind the scenes than being transparent. Two of those experiences were flat-out unacceptable. One salesperson became disrespectful, and at another dealership I was essentially told to “get out” after pointing out a major issue—a large mouse nest in the engine bay—and trying to negotiate accordingly. That’s not how you treat a serious buyer, especially one who knows what they’re looking at. Then I called Cargill—and everything changed. Casey gave me real numbers over the phone right away. No runaround. I told them if they could match my trade, beat my interest rate, and meet my price, I’d drive 1.5 hours and buy that same day. They delivered—exactly. Working with Lance was the complete opposite of every other dealership. No pressure, no games, no wasted time. They matched my trade, beat my financing, and sold me the Tahoe under asking. We wrapped everything up in under 2.5 hours. On top of that, the vehicle was fully detailed, registered, and ready for pickup the next day—and they even included an extra factory key at no charge. That’s what a professional, transparent car buying experience looks like. If you enjoy wasting time and dealing with dealership tactics, go to the others. If you want a straight deal with honest people, go to Cargill and ask for Lance. 10/10. More
On 6/16, it was my understanding I would be provided an update "pretty quickly, after checking with the business office" (Jon Jackel, personal communication, 6/16) regarding the status of the trade-in pa update "pretty quickly, after checking with the business office" (Jon Jackel, personal communication, 6/16) regarding the status of the trade-in payoff to GM. The P&S was signed for the new vehicle purchase, as well as the trade on 5/30. Unfortunately, at time of writing, I have yet to receive an update, nor are my calls/voicemails returned. The date of the payoff has passed, payments are now overdue (despite no longer owning the vehicle, and it being posted for sale on your website). I look forward to hearing about what will be done to rectify this situation quickly before this account is posted as overdue, collection-status and negatively affects my credit score. This is in addition to the lengthy issue of receiving a registration in a timely manner. As you are likely aware, the state of Massachusetts allows for a 7 calendar day flex-period to drive on a transferred plate. Despite repeated calls to the dealership regarding this issue, no help was provided. A variety of stretched-truths were provided, which included "having someone check at the dmv" on 6/12. After speaking to the RMV personally on 6/13, it was found the original plate transfer paperwork was not provided until 6/6 (already 7 calendar days after P&S). The payment to the RMV was submitted in the wrong amount (deficit of $31.00) and incorrect RMV forms were provided and filled out incorrectly by the dealer to the RMV. I have since paid the difference in fee to the RMV and my insurance agent corrected the insurance issue with the RMV, which provided me with a registration finally on Friday 6/13. I have requested to communicate with management to voice my concerns, and to date, have received no such call/missed call/voicemail from upper management at Cargill Chevrolet. More

I purchased a vehicle from Cargill in December 2023. I did buy a pre-owned vehicle and after a month of driving it, I am very pleased with my decision to buy at Cargill and love my vehicle. I noticed a rust spot and a noisy fan the first night I had the vehicle and they took it back the next day and fixed everything without giving me a hard time like I've seen at other dealerships. They had an amazing extended warranty available that I am also happy I purchased through a company called Janus. My salesperson, Moises, and finance manager were amazing to work with and I will be referring my friends and family! More

I have made two attempts in the last year to purchase a new Chevrolet at this dealership. On both occasions I found the sales managers to be dishonest and lack integrity. both times they made a ridiculousl new Chevrolet at this dealership. On both occasions I found the sales managers to be dishonest and lack integrity. both times they made a ridiculously low offer on my trade-in. I went to one of the local Hyundai dealerships and they gave me $6400 more on my trade and I purchased a new vehicle there. General Motors has lost another sale to Hyundai and I will never do business with this dealership again and I will encourage my family and friends to do the same. By the way, since 2004 I have purchased six different vehicles at Cargill Chevrolet and they have no loyalty to their customers. More
This dealership was horrible to deal with. I was told that the power mirrors and the spare key on a used car would be fixed. When the car was delivered, it was without the fixed spare key. I was told that the power mirrors and the spare key on a used car would be fixed. When the car was delivered, it was without the fixed spare key. I called and was treated reprehensibly by your sales person, Karl. His condescending tone and demeaning attitude was neither warranted nor deserved. His response was he sold the car "as is". We as the customer were under the impression that since he said the mirrors and the key would be fixed was part of the "as is". Long gone are the days that the customer should be treated properly or when someone's word means something. More
