Really great experience buying my car from start to finish. Evan was my salesperson and was so very helpful and knowledgeable about the cars I was looking at. The has been a terrible and frustrating purchase experience. My temp tag is expired because they never submitted the registration even though I gave them the insurance card showing. Was covered from experience. My temp tag is expired because they never submitted the registration even though I gave them the insurance card showing. Was covered from the date of purchase and the next thirty days when I was there. I noticed my temp tag was expired and when I called they said the couldn’t get it registered because of the insurance being expired but it was valid when I bought the car and they just never registered it. Before that, I had had to go back to the dealership after the purchase because the business office accidentally voided the check for the sale of my car to them. But when I got there, they could not find the reissued check. Now I am sending the insurance card to the email address to get them to give me a new temp tag but no one is responding. Carmax is about 8 miles from my house and having to go back and forth multiple times is incredibly inconvenient. I have bought at least five cars at Carmax over the years but this time it’s been awful. I am investing so much time to do things any other dealership would have taken care of. And they didn’t even call to tell me that they didn’t register it. I had to call them and they acted like it was my fault because the insurance card expired. But they had thirty days before it expired to register the car. I do not have time to chase down the business office to do things they are supposed to do. Before I bought the car I was bombarded by txts and phone calls. But one the purchase was complete, absolutely no support to help. I’m driving a car with an expired tag because Carmax isn’t doing the basic minimum of what they are supposed to do. On top of all of this, a little after 30 days from purchase the digital display stopped working. Even though I paid the extra $1800 for the warranty, I need it registered to get the display repaired. Unless you have tons of free time to waste don’t buy a car here. Something is very wrong at this location.’s business office. More
