I was stressed about buying a new car. But when I got to Carmax, it went away. I was happy to shop at my convenience and time. And they were available when I had questions. The car I purchased needed a part and we've been contacted to let us know the part is in and have scheduled a time to have it installed. The staff worked hard to find a car that fit our needs. More

Test drive was rushed, some vehicle damage was not disclosed before shipping and brakes started squeaking before we even used half a tank of gas. I seriously question their inspection process. Our salesperson had no idea what he was doing and I haven’t even been able to get them to confirm my title was transferred after multiple emails and phone calls. More
When I test drove the vehicle the employee who rode with me told me that “B” gear stood for battery and to use B when the car is low on fuel. That is incorrect. B mode stands for “braking” and that is what me told me that “B” gear stood for battery and to use B when the car is low on fuel. That is incorrect. B mode stands for “braking” and that is what you should use when driving in icy/ snowy conditions. That would have been helpful to know a few days ago when I was sliding all over the road driving in the snow trying to figure how to shift into low gear. Of course there was no owners manual included for some reason and I trusted that the Carmax employee knew what he was talking about. Turns out he was blatantly misinformed and was simply spreading lies. The 2015 Toyota Prius 4 is supposed to have heated front seats and power adjustable seats. The Carmax listing clearly stated heated front seats under features and specs. This vehicle does not have heated seats and the seat adjusters are manual levers. I was overcharged for features that the vehicle doesn’t even have. Selling a vehicle without the owners manual seems unprofessional as well. I’ve only had the car for a few weeks but I’m disappointed finding out that it’s missing features that I was told were available. Because of these issues I have to lower my overall experience to just average. More
