I've bought 25 cars, and this was my second time purchasing a vehicle from CarMax and it was even better than the first. I was given the freedom to look at any vehicle I wanted on my own with all th purchasing a vehicle from CarMax and it was even better than the first. I was given the freedom to look at any vehicle I wanted on my own with all the doors unlocked. Then I was allowed to test drive my choices alone. I was shown all my finance options in just a few minutes, then preapproved in a few minutes. I loved not having to haggle for four hours. I trusted the salesman as he provided information most salesmen don't. He also gave me enough information to make the best decision for me. When I worked with the finance person, I literally was at the table about 15 minutes. Other than looking at the cars and test driving, everything else took less than 45 minutes and I was out the door, car cleaned and all. I will definitely come back or send friends here in the future! It was easy, friendly, and I felt I was treated with honesty and respect. They also didn't treat me like a woman who didn't know anything, as that is the first thing that makes me want to leave. When I called the dealership I was routed to a call center in New Jersey. I was lucky to connect with Christina Hollingsworth. She was terrific. I worked with her several times over the following days. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, not robotic script reader. During that process I heard some references to my ‘team’. It was December and I live three mountain passes away from the nearest dealership. I was by the seven day reservation limit even if I committed to the purchase and paid the purchase price. My wife and I drove to the nearest commercial airport on a Sunday and were preparing to board our flight when I received a call from a team member. I assume he was at the dealership. I was told that without a second document confirming my physical address Carmax would not finance the vehicle. I only chose Carmax financing because of the short timeframe you would hold the car. I explained to the team member that I was no longer at home and had committed nearly $1,000 for airfare. He was incredulous that I couldn’t just go online and produce the document he wanted. I am approaching my 80th birthday and do not pay bills online. He seemed unable to fathom such a thing. Just minutes before boarding our flight we were able to call our electric provider and get a screenshot of something with a service address. I questioned why this issue was not raised sooner. My appointment at the dealership was the next day! I was told the ‘team’ had just discovered the problem. At the airport I received another call from someone at the dealership. The document we had emailed was satisfactory. He stated Carmax would finance the car without the document but I would have had to pay Washington state sales tax. Several thousand dollars. He further stated this problem came up often. Good job team. The lady we dealt with at the dealership was very nice and got us through the paperwork. The car was somewhat disappointing. It was not as clean as it should have been. The interior smelled of cigarette smoke. The exterior paint was terribly contaminated. It took me four days to make it shine again. I’m told they changed the engine oil but I’m not confident they used the manufacturer recommended oil. They installed a new windshield on the car. The interior rear view mirror fell off on the drive home. I got it back up but now when you touch the mirror the rain sensor in the windshield turns on the wipers. The tire air pressure was not correct in the right front. I own another Porsche vehicle. The engine in this one didn’t seem to run quite right. The gas tank was full and I suspect they didn’t use the recommended high octane fuel. I plan to contact the dealership about the mirror issue. I may need to take the car to a local glass shop to solve that problem. I found your trade offer on our 2012 Cadillac quite low but that didn’t surprise me. Your team approach to dealing with issues was disappointing. Problems are no one’s fault! More

Salesman was very friendly, not pushy at all, just wanted to show me whatever I was interested in. Salesman definitely didn't try to upsell me to something I wasnt interested in.
