Choosing and buying my 2024 RAM truck was such a pleasant experience at the CarMax Plano location, especially with Shakeel's knowledge about used vehicles, no pressure tactics, fantastic attitude and custome experience at the CarMax Plano location, especially with Shakeel's knowledge about used vehicles, no pressure tactics, fantastic attitude and customer service. Shakeel explained clearly what the process was and made it smooth to exchange my purchased truck for another that had to be shipped to Plano, within the allowed time frame; excellent communication of the vehicles status in shipping, readiness, etc. Shakeel wanted to ensure I was extremely satisfied with my purchase for the long term. It’s massive. Big. Feels like a workshop vs a dealership. I knew what I wanted before I got there so that was a plus. Every facet of what you need to do is automat Big. The sales people are friendly and so are the managers. But when it came time to getting my car, I was a little disappointed on them not budging on the damage to the indoor driver handle and the damage to the silver around the gear shift selector. It’s really bad. By the time I got home, the tpms light came on and has come on non stop. I did get the car checked out and no codes. That was a relief for an 8 year old car. But the plastic cover over the engine has foam under it and it was literally crumbling all over the engine! Not cool. What also wasn’t cool was all of the dead leaves in the engine compartment. They were everywhere and so was mouse or rat poop! I was/am so disappointed that CarMax does not visually inspect these cars or just don’t care. How am I supposed to get that stuff outta there?! I am now on day 15 of ownership and early on I wondered if I made a horrible decision based on what I’ve seen. But the push to purchase the extended warranty for over $6K added to the price of the car, has helped…I guess. More
Salesman was great! I was notified my tires on the Porsche I just bought need to be replaced and the check engine light came on within 2 weeks. Very disappointing. Such a relaxed and peaceful environment. I like the ho hassle pricing and willingness to make the sale happen! Customer service has been great! They are outstanding in customer service and taking care of customers needs/wants and making you happy. I had to return a vehicle outside of my 10 days and they definitely took care of me to get me into another vehicle no questions asked. I had a good expywoth all of the sales team involved as well as upper management. The Denton and Plano team were both great to work with. However to be fully transparent, the vehicle I had to return had issues from the first couple of days that made me uneasy and no longer wanted to keep that vehicle. They were great about letting me return the car ,and offered to put me into a loaner while getting that car fixed.I declined and decided to go with another vehicle. The vehicle I was interested in was located in Oklahoma, and I am in Texas so they covered the shipping fee to get it here. I love my new car but it too had issues right after I bought it (motor mounts and some fuse issues) but they are taking care of this for me and have provided a loaner vehicle while mine is being serviced. More
