Vehicle was not clean and look like it hadn’t been detailed, first person that contacted me was good and sent me video of the vehicle, went to the garland location first and vehicle there was horrible detailed, first person that contacted me was good and sent me video of the vehicle, went to the garland location first and vehicle there was horrible shape, needed front tires and vehicle smelled like an ash tray, also dirty. This was my 5th car purchase from CatMax. It was my first existence with this store and it was not a good one. I had a vehicle transported in for $700 from another CarMax. When I arrived to It was my first existence with this store and it was not a good one. I had a vehicle transported in for $700 from another CarMax. When I arrived to view the vehicle the Salesman had no concern about the condition of the car. It was filthy. The only thing he mentioned was that they would give me up to $200 for a detail. I initially walked away gettin the car but I felt like the filth was something I could deal with later. Then I asked him to allow me to start the car. He begin to give me orders not to drive the car off and to make sure I put the keys back in the window box and reiterated again that I was not to drive the car. It was cold and he high tailed it inside. I never saw him until I was leaving and it was then that I told him I wanted to write the car up. At this point after already being treated horribly, he asked for my paystub. You would have thought he was a forensic scientist attending to ascertain whether the paystub was authentic or not. Basically he didn’t believe that it was. However, it was abcs cancer directly from the app the company I work for uses for our paystubs. Then the only thing he started asking was how he could do what I did. Shameless. He stayed gone 90% of the time and before I got the keys and paintwork from the office, he had left. This was the one and only excitement I ever had with this CarMax. Needless to say two days later the convertible top wouldn’t come up. I took it back to the service department and that’s when my experience totally shifted. It was THE BEST experience. An ice storm was coming and the Service Manager made sure my vehicle got to the repair shop and put in the garage before any damage was caused to the interior of the vehicle. He was outstanding. At the end if the day I can not blame CarMax for the treble attitude of one of its salesman. He alone made it a poor experience. He had what we call “Commission Breath” and he didn’t help me do a thing. He’s was simply horrible. But I still love CarMax and the way I’ve been treated every other time outside of the initial experience with the salesperson. He alone almost caused me to never return to this CarMax again.
