After I bought a 2022 Highlander on Aug 9, I brought it back to service on Aug 13. Then, when I come to pick up the car on Aug 22, there is a new dent on my driver's door! I knew it wouldn't go well b back to service on Aug 13. Then, when I come to pick up the car on Aug 22, there is a new dent on my driver's door! I knew it wouldn't go well because the lady representing the repair group was showing an atitude of reluctance and lack-of-care in the beginning. The manager of the repair/service talked to me, then he brought the general manager, Hunter Renick, to me. Hunter first offers full refund, I couldn't take it since we have wasted a lot of time since Aug 9 when we purchased the Highlander with cash. Even if I get full refund, the time spent, and the trouble it will cause will be too much. Then Hunter offers another Highlander, which will need to be transferred from FL to Garland TX. I am ok with that but I am not happy to have to pay 1000 usd extra in the end. My overall experience is pretty bad with Carmax. I will not come back again. And as a business school professor, I will teach is unpleasant exp to MBA students as an example of poor management. More
Purchased a used car from CarMax Garland, and the process was more difficult than I thought it would be. I was offered home delivery, but my identity could not be verified, so I went to the physical location was more difficult than I thought it would be. I was offered home delivery, but my identity could not be verified, so I went to the physical location to pick up my car. The first time I went, there were technological issues with linking my bank account to make the purchase even though I was paying in full. Thankfully, they held onto the car for the next week, but when I came back to the physical location again, there were once again issues with their computer system when I had already made the full price purchase as I was able to link my bank account the second time. However, because it was originally listed as a home delivery, there were system errors. Paperwork took a lot longer than I expected it to take even though I had already completed everything that I needed to as the car purchaser prior to getting there. I found trash under my driver's seat despite them telling me that they were going to clean the interior of the car before I drove off with it. The staff was nice and friendly and very apologetic, but I wish the whole process was more streamlined. More

Now we are trying to sell the car and were told by an insurance company that the car was in a wreck with $8000 damages. the car was sold to us at the current market value. we tried to contact dealership to see if they would try to do right by us, they basically said we were SOL.
