12/19/23 Update Day after purchase the entire dashboard lit up and the doors started to lock and unlock. Worse than the accident that led me to this dealership to replace my previous vehicle. While driving on Route 9 in a 35mph zone the vehicle accelerated and couldn’t be stopped. I rode my brakes for over a mile while the RPMs jumped up and my vehicle couldn’t go under 30mph while standing on the brakes. Smoke coming everywhere. Finally there was traffic in front of me and I had to throw it into neutral then park and turned the ignition off. This worked but now after six months of no driving due to a previous major car accident, I’m on day 3 and never want to drive again let alone this vehicle. Contacted Victor Liriano tonight and was told that’s how we bought it. As is. We were aware of the rust on the frame but not the dangerous mechanical issue that has now made this vehicle unable to be driven due to a HUGE safety issue only after 19days of ownership. He refuses to take the vehicle back even if we take a loss for owning for the 19 days. I knew something seemed up and even asked what was wrong with the vehicle since the price dropped $3k in the few days they had possession and were willing to take another $1,500 off when we noticed the rust on the frame. I was told it was for Black Friday. Nice line right? **BEWARE OF CARLINK** Reported to the Division of Community Affairs under Lemon Law. 12/1/23 Easy in and out. Listened/answered all questions/concerns thoroughly. Brandon was a pleasure to work with. The whole staff made it flow easily as we traveled 1.5hrs north to purchase (after driving to first test drive the week before). Victor helped finalize the deal and we were in and out at pick up. I bought a used vehicle from CarLink in August 2023, which I had shipped to me. The vehicle still smells like an ashtray, despite me asking if there were any smoke odors in the car prior to purchase. I've steam-cleaned and deodorized it twice and the smell is engrained in the car. I had asked about any engine leaks or oil spots, or other issues with the car to which the salesman, Hali Garcia ensured me there were none. CarLink's claim is that "each car is gone over and thoroughly inspected" and a "family business". I took the car to get inspected and learned that to pass inspection it needs new brakes, a new valve cover gasket and PCV valve, and a tie rod. When I contacted Mr. Garcia and informed him of these issues to ask for CarLink to help make this right, I basically got a "too bad" response and verbatim comments from him were "the warranty wouldn't have covered those items anyway"; "it's not catastrophic"; and "it doesn't matter what you 'feel'". Thankfully I have the email chain to support everything in this review. $2,000 in repairs just to pass inspection is bad business. DO NOT buy a car from this dealer or trust Hali Garcia or you will get burned and totally misled. I'm not sure how these guys sleep at night. More
