Mr. Corbitt I don't know the sincerity of your response to my review. We were just "a nobody elderly couple" when we needed help with a car we purchased from Silver Star that needed an engine in it. It should have never been sold to anyone. We are good people and we thought we could trust Silver Star. Your people did everything they could do to maintain the sell of the automobile. Your people even lied to Wellsfargo and said the issue had been resolved. The car definitely needed an engine. We didn't have the money to replace the engine but we needed transportation. We have driven the car as little as possible and the noise had gotten so bad that we bought a used engine (which we financed)and had it installed. We have spent $20,000 plus for this engine and installation and we still have a car note. This situation has caused us such a financial hardship and could have been avoided if your dealership had done the RIGHT THING!!! WE LIVE ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND MY HUSBAND STILL WORKS AT 72 YEARS OLD. HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE WILL YOU DO THIS TO? This was my private response to Mr. Corbitt. I have not heard from him.
