Byers Mazda responded

This customer came to us looking for a Forester Ltd, Shortly after the natural disasters in Japan. She wanted a Forester Ltd in Red…we just so happened to have one on the way from Japan; our system showed it still on the way to Washington State (our Port). The customer agreed to terms a certain price over invoice. She asked us to delete 1 item we explained that we would try but it might be too late, that it would take a few days to find out. It was to late… the option had already been installed on the car. She called and asked for the numbers to be faxed, I explained that it was too late to have the item deleted the fax was sent. She then called saying she wasn’t going to pay for the item that couldn’t be deleted. “May I say we have done everything that we promised”. She then called the salesman saying she wanted to cancel her order…based on the small profit margin we were glad to cancel! It turn out that she was just interested in negotiating to have us pay for the item not deleted. Knowing that it sometimes is easier to solve problems by giving into customers we choose to take care of her, give her the puddle lights…with the promise of her complete satisfaction. It appears she wasn’t true to her word! I’ve tried to think of a way to say what is on my mind in a P.C. way… I best I could think of is to tell the truth. She proves again why dealers really dislike customers like her. We bent over backwards to help her! She was explained everything upfront!! Then Lies in the court of public opinion on this website!!!
