Established in 1921 by Elmer Burtness, The Burtness Family of Dealerships has grown from a small Standard gasoline station into one of the most prominent Family of Dealerships in southern Wisconsin. Although the gas pumps have long been forgotten, the Bowditch family, which currently owns the dealership, still prides itself on the same principles and values Elmer envisioned: being the leader in outstanding service to customers and their vehicles.
With its small-town roots, Burtness Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Whitewater serves customers from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Its customers are loyal. Many have purchased all their vehicles from Burtness. The employees are loyal, too. Burtness employs more than 35 family members, who have more than 400 years of combined dedicated service. Burtness goes above and beyond to help the customer. I can't say enough about how great my salesman Brad Behrens is, I need a oil change he will take my truck from where I work and drop it back off. Only been to dealership once since we bought the Equinox & that was to have batteries put into our key fobs. Brad is great from the day we bought the car by him coming to our home during Covid.
