I had an unexpected long job turn up in the course of inspection. I was able to get the work done that day and have a loaner car to help me manage my other appointments. I was shown the reason for the inspection. I was able to get the work done that day and have a loaner car to help me manage my other appointments. I was shown the reason for the required work, which was completed according to the time table and cost estimate. The AC in the waiting room was a welcome relief on a sweltering day. More

Very Happy With Service I had an issue with my 2016 Impreza wherein the ignition key would not turn to the full off position and thus would get stuck in the steering column w I had an issue with my 2016 Impreza wherein the ignition key would not turn to the full off position and thus would get stuck in the steering column when I turned off the engine. Happened a couple of times, and I had to fiddle with the key and shift lever to extract it. This apparently is a problem with a very small percentage of these cars, but Subaru of America (SOA) put out a service bulletin on it nevertheless. The car was out of warranty so I called SOA, and they said to bring the car to a dealer to have them diagnose the problem and then call back to see if they would cover at least part of the repair cost. I had bought the car originally at Brattleboro Subaru and have had nothing but excellent experiences with the entire staff there, so I called their service department. Spoke with Morgan who realized my dilemma and said she could schedule me for 9:00 AM the next morning. Super! When I got there I was greeted by Curtis Green who understood the ignition problem and was able to get the car in for diagnosis right away. A short while later Curtis informed me that cost for repair would be close to $300, which is a lot of money for this old retired sailor. I gave him the okay for the repair. Next thing I know, Curtis comes in and says he took it upon himself to call Subaru on my behalf to see if they would cover the charge, and SOA agreed to pay the whole bill. I was stunned, but not entirely surprised. This dealership has bent over backwards for me in the past and apparently is still very focused on customer satisfaction. I drove away a happy man. Love this dealership. More
Sloppy service despite the fact that I bought my car here I love my 6 cylinder Outback Subaru I bought here, and the service people are always friendly, so it took a long time for me to realize how bad things I love my 6 cylinder Outback Subaru I bought here, and the service people are always friendly, so it took a long time for me to realize how bad things were. I have brought the car in for service every 3000 miles, and have always asked them to check it over thoroughly and do EVERYTHING according to schedule. I was shocked a few times when my oil light came on a fedw hundred miles after the car was in for service. They are supposed to change my 6 cylinder every 3000 miles. I thought something was wrong with the car. It is only after 6 years of owning this car I have discovered that some of the service personnel DID NOT CHANGE the oil when I brough it in, mistaking it for 4 cylinder models that can go 6000 miles between oil change. MORE UPSETTING is my current situation. I am due to go on vacation tomorrow, with all my reservations made. Yesterday the car began driving jerkily, the brake lights came on as well as skid lights, and the check engine light was flashing. Two months ago the engine and a number of other indicators had come on, and I had had the car towed by AAA to the shop. A few weeks ago I took it in for a complete service and complained that I had had more trouble when I was in NY State, and asked if they had skipped any routine maintenance. I ask this every time, and am always told absolutely NOT. Well, today I learned that they were supposed to have changed ALL THE SPARK PLUGS 10,000 miles ago, when I was still on the extended warrantly, but did not. Now my vacation plans are ruined and they won't absolutely guarantee they will get the spark plugs and whatever else is needed, that THEY SHOUD HAVE DONE 10,000 miles ago, completed on Monday. I have been in so often they know me by name, they have all the work done on this car in their conputer, but they are too careless to do the major routine maintenance. I have paid them thousands of dollare in repairs over the years, not knowing that their sloppy service lack of maintenance was damaging my car. More
