This is the second vehicle purchased at this dealership. We will definitely buy another vehicle again. More

You would think this meant my car would be diagnosed. However the diagnostic prices didn't even start for almost 2 weeks. Not one call for an update. I had to stop by or call for updates. Then it took forever for them to get the diagnosis and contact car shield. Then (not their fault) the car shield people took two weeks to get it approved. After approval Ford did not contact me. I had to contact them just for them to ask me if I wanted the work done. What did they think? Then it was they had to order parts. It's now January 17th and they still don't have the parts. They still don't call to give any updates. I have to call them. They've had my car since December 1. I will never return there once I get my daughters car returned. She's employed and a student and has been without her car for 7 weeks. More
After purchasing more than a dozen Expeditions and F150s and one leased Expedition from Bowditch Ford over 40 years I'm finished. The dealership just gets worse and worse. We usually just trade in for a and one leased Expedition from Bowditch Ford over 40 years I'm finished. The dealership just gets worse and worse. We usually just trade in for a new vehicle. I'm always told in the past that they only use the NADA guide. Last year I was told they couldn't meet the NADA book (tried to really low ball me) for my F150 Limited. I went to another local Ford Dealer in Hampton and got an appropriate (higher) offer which was in line w/ low mileage excellent condition (Dealer Certifiable) vehicle. We never leased one before but had been intrigued with a lease as the Sales Manager told us we'd never have to pay for ANY service. After we signed the lease we got a letter that after the first free oil change and service we had to pay. I was hot but the Manager said he gave us such a good deal he couldn't give us any free service. In other words we were lied to. We decided never to use Bowditch again. This summer my wife decided to turn in her leased Expedition buy a new one. I took her leased Expedition to the same local Dealer I'd bought my F150 from. They bought out my lease plus paid me $10,000. They didn't have an Expedition Limited she liked. We've been longtime Ford owners but she found a new model 2021 (redesigned) Tahoe High Country and couldn't be happier. I've told everyone in our extended family and friends of my experience. Buyer beware. I will say I will miss dealing /w Al in service. More
Bowditch Ford is not a trustworthy dealership. Their service department is the worst. I purchased a brand new car from the years ago, and have NEVER once had a positive experience with the service department. I purchased the extended warranty, too. I had my vehicle in many times for the same problem but they could never figure out what it was and dismissed me. Many phone messages were returned by Al, one of the service advisors. This is an issue that spanned from 2017, to 2019, to 2021. Imagine driving your new car for 70,000 miles with the same horrible sounds and not getting help from the dealership from which you purchased it with an extended warranty. Just an arrogant “I don’t have time to deal with you” type of dismissive response. The problem? No one ever thought to inspect the suspension system. Thanks for making buy so many sets of new tires in recent years do to the uneven wear of a faulty suspension. Thank you even more for making me pay more than $1300 for something that should have been covered under warranty when the issue was first brought to your attention. You have ripped me off in so many unique ways. I’ve owned many Ford’s, but I will not return to Bowditch for future vehicle purchase. More

I was told my headlights needed to be buffed out or replaced in order to pass inspection. Not a problem. I've since fixed that issue (it's maybe been 5 days) even though the paperwork that was physically handed to me says my headlights are fine, and after going back today, I now learn that there's more needed in order for me to pass inspection. Either the first person didn't do a full inspection as he/ she was supposed to or they're not being truthful about what I need repaired. This was a complete waste of my time and customer service is beyond lacking as well. I will not return - ever - nor will I ever recommend this location. More
Do not sell or trade in a car to Bowditch Ford. I sold a car, the process seemed a bit sloppy from the start and when we asked the finance manager over the phone the status of the payment to the lien holder car, the process seemed a bit sloppy from the start and when we asked the finance manager over the phone the status of the payment to the lien holder we got conflicting answers. 15 day payoff was agreement, it’s now day 19, bank hasn’t received anything. For a dealership that is “desperate for inventory” they don’t seem in a hurry to fulfill its part of the sale. I assume that the car will eventually be paid , but since it’s past the 15 day payoff quote, they will end up having to send another check which only delays their ability to sell the car. For a dealership that has been around a while they got some process issues. Time is ticking.... More
