I, Rebecca Rhynes, bought a 2019 Kia Forte’ from Boomer Kia in January of 2020. It came with a three-year, 75,000 mile warranty that is extensive and covers both the transmission and the engine. In Decembe Kia in January of 2020. It came with a three-year, 75,000 mile warranty that is extensive and covers both the transmission and the engine. In December of 2022, with less than 70,000 miles and close to two full months before my warranty was up, I took my Kia Forte’ in to Boomer Kia’s service department to find out why my RPM’s were racing up to 4,000 but it wouldn’t “catch” to actually make the car move. It also was running horribly. Once taking it to Boomer Kia’s service department, it took over two weeks to get a final answer as to what was wrong with my fairly new car. Lawson, the service manager, finally called me and said that my transmission had a fatal error and would be replaced completely under the warranty. He also stated my engine needed close to $4,000 worth of work but that they would not be covering this because they believed the problems were due to my lack of doing oil changes. I assured them my oil changes were done within the recommended timeframe, just not done by the dealership or any oil change companies that report to CarFax and that was what their decision was based upon. And that they saw “sludge” in the engine they believe could have caused the problem. After trying to come up with $3,550+ to fix the engine, finally I was able to request my Indian Tribe help me pay for it, and they did! Once it was fixed, three weeks later and $3,550+ paid, I was able to drive my car for approximately 30 days when my engine had a catastrophic failure….again! Basically a piston BROKE and their only recommendation is to replace the engine at $7,500! At this point, the engine failure cannot be blamed on supposed engine sludge, as they cleaned all of that out! But, of course, they still will not replace the engine that was always a bad engine and was never my fault, while it was still under warranty. They need to replace my engine as they did my transmission so I can have my car back! DON’T BUY A KIA!!! More
This morning I had a CONFIRMED 8:30am appointment, was told to make sure I had a ride back home as the “recall” on my dash display would take over 6+ hours to correct, as well as fix my sunroof that quit told to make sure I had a ride back home as the “recall” on my dash display would take over 6+ hours to correct, as well as fix my sunroof that quit working within 3 months of buying my brand new sorrento. 5:30pm I head in to pick up my car, only to find out NOBODY has even MOVED my car from the spot I parked it in, was told “the appointment confirmation doesn’t matter, that’s just getting your car on the books.” Absolutely not!! That is a COMMITMENT!! I took off work, had to find a ride TWICE up there and back, waste gas, just to be told they never even looked at my car today. Brought the manager out, he said “no rental cars, sorry about it, you can come back next Wednesday & plan for your car to stay 3-4 days.” 100% unprofessional and a complete slap in the face. They will sure take HUNDREDS of dollars from you to service your car, but come to a warranty issue, they don’t give a $hit about you. More
A/C hose was leaking. Went to boomer Kia to get it fixed. Cost me about $460 to get it rebuilt. 3/4 months later come back for same problem, same hose. Had to pay another $160 for new hose. I do not recommend taking a car here to have service done. I brought my 2014 Kia Forte here over the July 4th weekend due to my car suddenly would shake while stopped at a light and wouldn’t accelerate done. I brought my 2014 Kia Forte here over the July 4th weekend due to my car suddenly would shake while stopped at a light and wouldn’t accelerate well. I had it towed in to their service department because I had work done back in Dec 2019 there as it had been making a knocking noise and was told it needed a brand new engine at 84k miles. I wasn’t sure if it had to do with that so I took it back. I was told it didn’t but they thought it was the spark plugs that needed to be changed. I had them do it only to then be told it hadn’t fixed the issue and would need a new fuel injector. So I paid for all of that and drove the car another two months. I recently traded it in at a completely different dealership and was informed that the fuel injector had a hole in it. This employee has no reason whatsoever to lie, his only job is to fix cars. I specifically asked how this could happen. The service manager said the only way that would happen is the fault of who put it in. I am writing this to hopefully help someone else from having to deal with this kind of headache. I certainly learned a lesson here to get a second opinion and will do so in the future. The other lesson learned is I will never use this service department again. They have since replied and have stated they can’t find my name in their system. I attached a picture of my receipt on Facebook and will do so here if able. More

I gave them the required paperwork and was told by the finance guy 4-6 weeks ok. Something to me to call and inquire about it and super smart Rachel says 8-12 weeks because the warranty people has to release the the remaining amount back to them (which is a lie). I called my warranty people and the kind CS woman was like they tell us to cancel the contract but we NEVER get the money till u actually use it. Oops caught Rachel in a lie!! So Rachel calls back asking about my lien release for my trade🤦🏾???🤦🏾??? Silly broad whomever pays the car off gets that and I provided a letter saying that the car was paid off.. I’ve requested that her boss called me and no one has.. people don’t buy no extended warranty for a new car these folks will lie to get you to buy it but when it’s time to give it back they try to steal it More
Worst service I do not recommend taking your car for service here! The service gentlemen are shady and/or really clueless! Before looking at my car they tried to se I do not recommend taking your car for service here! The service gentlemen are shady and/or really clueless! Before looking at my car they tried to sell me some fuel cleaning crap like a normal salesmen but I declined they did the recall on my car first to see if it fixed the issue which it did about 75% of the problem. They told me it was still running sluggish and suggested I pay for the fuel cleaning but couldn’t tell me if that would fix the issue so I declined unless it would fix it I wanted to hold off. Well since I didn’t buy anything they couldn’t seem to figure out what was wrong with my car after having it maybe 4 hours. I took it and had the fuel cleaning done and didn’t fix the issue of course. Turns out it was a bad part that they had been messing with the whole time but yet they didn’t know what was wrong with it!?!? So like I said they are clueless or just wasn’t going to help me fix my car (with warranty) unless I paid for something out of pocket for their commission! Sending a certified letter to Corp about this ordeal so hopefully they will stop ripping people off and/or get mechanics that know something about cars! More
Terrible from all aspects! Bought my Kia Sorento in July of 2014. Got the Tires for Life, Engine for Life, and Oil Changes for Life. They were horrible during the sale but that Bought my Kia Sorento in July of 2014. Got the Tires for Life, Engine for Life, and Oil Changes for Life. They were horrible during the sale but that is nothing compared to their horrendous Service Department. They consistently made me wait over an hour per oil change even though I had an appointment. I went in for a tire rotation that NEVER was completed after waiting forever for that to be done and the oil to be changed. (Had placed a mark on the tire so I know they weren't rotated). Had to come back for that to be done as I had requested! (They "couldn't find the guy" who supposedly rotated them and told me to come back for them to do it). God only knows if they changed the oil and they probably put some recycled oil in my car. I am heading to Dallas this weekend so I called to make an appointment for my oil change and they answered the phone, "Boomer Kia." Surprise, surprise they are the new owners and not so shockingly they don't cover the previous warranty. Told me to call David Stanley Chevrolet. The service department of course had no clue what I was talking about and sent me to a management employee's voicemail. The ever expected bob & weave. There is no way a dealer from the exact SAME auto group has NO idea the other one is getting sold to a new company. If a complete business goes out I can understand not honoring that warranty. But there are still David Stanley's in business so they should HONOR what they issue to people. This was probably all a ploy to get the first 500 cars sold and sell the dealership soon so they don't have to honor their many warranties that they issued. Hope they enjoy the many phone calls and emails the other 499 people that got the warranty will be giving them. Absolutely terrible. You could at least give us a phone call or an email. I get PLENTY of junk mail from them all of the time. Enjoy the money you made from me. Will never get another cent or any money from anyone I know, I can promise you that! And hope this terrible company enjoys the new lawyer I am going to retain for this! More

Lies, rude behavior, no customer service I bought a truck in july. I was back to the dealership within 2 weeks to redo paperwork on my trade in title they messed up. I was told to get there i I bought a truck in july. I was back to the dealership within 2 weeks to redo paperwork on my trade in title they messed up. I was told to get there immediately or they would take my truck from me so I did. I purchased extended warranty on my truck because I was it covered the truck inside and out. That was a bold face lie. My truck is in the shop right now for mechanical issues and the extended warranty covered ZERO items that needed fixed. When I had to send my truck to them to get fixed they made me line up a towing service on my own and pay for it to get there. After that I asked for a loaner vehicle and they said we don't have any to give you. I went without a vehicle for 3 days. When I went to the dealership 4 days later to get a loaner vehicle and to find out when I will get my truck back they tried to put me in a new vehicle and bypassed fixing my truck or putting me in a loaner vehicle. After 4 hours of that finally they said why don't we fix your truck and put you in a loaner vehicle. I was promised and guaranteed by the manager, salesman, and financial aid that they would cover every penny on fixing my truck. They lied once again I am about to get stuck with 1247$ worth of repairs they promised to fix. My credit score also has gone down due to these clowns taking their time on my paperwork. Do not buy from this crooked place folks you will regret it More
