They are a very reputable family owned dealership, and I feel as though they treat me like a family member whenever I go there. They always are ready to go the extra mile when I need them. feel as though they treat me like a family member whenever I go there. They always are ready to go the extra mile when I need them. More

Horrible Service Manager, will not be returning. I had purchased a 2017 Chevy Trax at another dealership after hunting for some time for the best deal. The dealership I purchased it at gave me two keys and we thought the one was programmed it was not. After speaking with the person at the dealership I purchased it from, he urged me to find a local place that would likely help me out. (I should note that the dealership I purchased it from was in Maryland, and the person who sold me the vehicle was a close friend/family member) I chose Bonner because they are quite literally less then 5 minutes from my work place. My intention was to use them as my go to place for service and repairs since the location was so convenient for me and it was where my workplace bought vehicles. Taking off work a little early on Friday 6/28/2019 I went to the dealership for what I had been told in advance would be a 10 minute reprogram of my key fob. When I went inside I was told that the workers would be done for the day at 4:30pm (it was about 3:40 when I arrived) and I would need to wait and see if they could get me in. Keep in mind please that this was literally for a key fob reprogram or replacement, not any kind of extended maintenance on my vehicle. While waiting for my vehicle I heard the service manager come in and explain to a woman about her repair. The woman was older, and he was extremely condescending to her and interrupted her multiple times and generally did not seem to provide good customer service. About 20 minutes later (I had been waiting well over an hour at this point) he came and told me that my fob was not a warranty repair and I would need to pay almost $50 to get it reprogrammed. He also informed me I had a recall on my vehicle and he would like to schedule me to come in and get it taken care of. I was a little hesitant at first, I was planning on using Bonner as my go to place for service after all, but the dealership who had sold me the vehicle had told me that it would be very unlikely that a dealership would charge me to get my fob reprogrammed since it was a minor customer service issue and generally not something that would cost the dealership anything but a few moments time and no parts. He had also been politely condescending to me since I had entered the dealership, even so far as asking me why in the xxxx would I go to Maryland to purchase a vehicle. Confused at this point, because I had literally only had my vehicle for less then a week I went ahead and scheduled the service appointment (I know service recalls can happen at any point but the dealership I purchased the vehicle from had assured me there was no recalls.) As I was checking out with the receptionist another customer came inside and asked politely to speak to the service manager. I am not sure what was said at this point, because I was trying to pay and leave, but the customer and the service manager seemed to have some kind of altercation over a warranty repair. The service manager began using inappropriate language with the customer and while I am not sure if the customer started the confrontation the service manager certainly escalated it beyond the norm. At one point even threatening to call the police, and demanding the customer leave. Another employee tried to deescalate the situation with me, but at that point I just wanted to leave as I was rather uncomfortable. After doing a bit of digging thanks in no small part to the dealership who had sold me my vehicle I managed to track down the service recall for my Trax. Unfortunately for me, it is not a warranty recall and would require me to pay out of pocket to replace a faulty tire jack. The service manager had definitely led me to believe that the recall was in warranty and would not cost me anything but I am very glad I did do some research as I will not be returning to that dealership ever again as they likely would of charged me for labor, and for a replacement jack that I could easily get and will at Wal-Mart.
