"Certified Pre-Owned" is a joke! We bought a “certified pre-owned” Volkswagen EOS last Spring from Bommarito. BEFORE we bought it, there were issues with the convertible top not clos We bought a “certified pre-owned” Volkswagen EOS last Spring from Bommarito. BEFORE we bought it, there were issues with the convertible top not closing that were fixed as part of the “certified” process. During the year we owned the car, we have brought the car in 5 times for repairs to the top. NOW, they have decided the main supports for the top are bent and that WE put the top down when it was on an incline which caused this. They are refusing to honor either the certified pre-owned guarantee OR the top-of-the-line warranty we bought. They want us to replace the top (the only fix at this point) for $9000. The Service Director, Mark Beadles, told me I needed to accept the fact that I had bought a “used” car. The problem is that I didn’t know I bought a “used” car – I thought I bought a “certified pre-owned” Volkswagen from Bommarito. This car had a known issue with the top and now they are refusing to back their promise on this “certified pre-owned” vehicle. More
