Bought my truck a few years ago and 1-0 they win. Start by saying that everyone agrees to their deal so I do not fault anyone for a deal I accepted. I researched the vehicle I wanted online and even emailed and asked to make sure no hidden fees that the stock# was the vehicle and when I get there that’s what I am paying. Well they LIED! That was to get me there then they say oh we did this and we did that and you get free car washes blah blah. Bottom line they were dishonest to get you there. Then when completing the sale you get told if you rate us all 5s we will gift you a free tank of gas and an oil change, not in writing so does not happen. Trick to give then good reviews. When signing papers I was sold on the extended warranty which I always get from the dealership because to me it makes sense. Well this time, the sales manager apparently sold me a third party warranty at the dealership so not Mopar or Ram warranty. I just took my truck (only 32k miles but past 36 months) to a dealership for a fault only to be notified that I am responsible for the diagnostic fees ($250 per error, not per visit). This week my radio completely stopped working, no sound no display. Then a check engine came on and truck drained the battery so had to be jumped off. Easy enough I have an extended warranty those seem interconnected, wrong again. The dealership near my home told me that the third party warranty company gets a vote if they will cover it and that diagnostic fees are my responsibility. So they want $250 to look at the radio, $250 for the battery and $250 for the check engine light for diagnostic fees. Long story short the sales manager sold me a warranty that was not the Ram extended warranty so even with only 32k miles I may be covering an expensive repair out of pocket. I would tell you to just don’t buy the extended warranty but they have me feeling that if there are dishonest and unethical sales tactics are used here, I would not and should tell others not to shop here. More
