Everything was nice, just a little bit slow the process of buying the car. I didn't like though when the manager was being a little bit rude with his words when I didn't want to buy the car. Unfortunately, the engine of our 2012 Sonota needed replaced. Fortunately, it was due to a recall issue and was covered by recall warranty. We were 650 miles from home on a late Thursday afternoon wi replaced. Fortunately, it was due to a recall issue and was covered by recall warranty. We were 650 miles from home on a late Thursday afternoon with the car on a tow truck hook. Our initial discussion with a service rep, perhaps Chris, was much less than satisfactory. After being told that no one could look at the car for three weeks, he suggested trading it in!!! Needless to say this was not a well received response. We had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop that verified the engine demise and the related recall. I called back to Rohrman on Saturday morning and the service rep I talked to this time was very helpful. He verified the VIN and the recall issue. Finally on Monday morning, we had the car towed back to Rohrman for repair. It took some time for Hyundai corporate to verify the issue and agree to replace the engine. From there it took a while to order and receive the engine to complete the repair. This was explained ahead of time and was expected. All this while we maintained contact the service representative, Josiah Tull. He was very helpful and courteous through the entire 6+week process. Now we are waiting for Hyundai corporate to approve the expenses we submitted for towing, a rental to get back home and an extra hotel night. More
Update: As soon as they had my money, the high level of service disappeared. 8 weeks after purchase, we still do not have a title or registration, and out temp tag is expired! BlueLink wasn’t set up properly so we couldn’t use it and Connor was slow to fix it. Still haven’t received the leather cleaner we were promised when we pointed out the car was delivered with a leather stain on the steering wheel.Connor promised us a gift card for a perfect review, still haven’t received a gift card. Be careful with this place. I truly appreciated the high level of personalized customer service!! Connor was incredibly responsive with our requests and we were blown away when he even offered to deliver our vehicle to Naperville. Connor worked hard to earn our business and give us a fair deal in this strange car-buying market. We cant wait to buy another car from Rohrman since this was such a pleasant experience! More
