That’s how much I don’t want to do business with these people. If you insist on buying a car from these people, bring an attorney with you. OK, at least GET IT INSPECTED SOMEWHERE ELSE FIRST, and INSIST ON making all agreements directly with the manager, and have it all typed and in writing, and get copies. I came down on Saturday to test drive a Honda Fit that had just been traded in. I had negotiated pricing already over the phone, so as long as everything checked out, I was buying it that day. When he was showing me the car, the sales guy David said it had just been detailed but they still needed to do some cosmetic stuff (buffing out scratches, reattaching a side skirt, restoring headlights), but they’d deliver it to me Friday in Denver, and give me a loaner to use in the meantime. They had already inspected it, and I was told everything came back good. I took it to get independently inspected at a Honda Dealership, and they found an oil leak and a few other things. They only agreed to fix it if I paid more. So…. the pricing we negotiated was apparently contingent on me not finding out about the leak. I wish so badly I would’ve walked away at this point. Instead, I paid $250 extra and bought the car, leaving it there to repair oil leak and finish the cosmetic stuff. Friday I texted David to ask what time it would be delivered. He said “it’s not ready” and it would be ANOTHER WEEK, and then lied about why (told me the buffing guy was really backed up- I later found out that the side skirt they were going to reattach was unsalvageable and they had to order a new one. Why he didn’t just tell me this, I have no idea. I think he didn’t bother to find out why the car wasn’t ready, and just made up an excuse). I asked to talk to a manager, and got a call from Matt, who was actually really nice and very reasonable. I told him I was upset with this whole process and we agreed he'd give me $250 back and continue with repairs. Monday, a DIFFERENT manager called me. I wish I remembered his name, so I could warn people to stay as far away as possible. He was nasty- accused me of fabricating the fact that the other manager Matt had agreed to give me $250 back. He also told me I was owed nothing on this car besides the mechanical repairs that were already done, and they had never agreed to buff out scratches, restore headlights, or reattach the side skirt (when I came to test drive the car, the FIRST thing the sales rep said was that those things still needed to be done - they weren’t things I had asked for). Not to mention that the only reason they still had my car was that they were waiting on the side skirt. So if we never agreed to any of that, why did they still have the car? I had those things in writing, on the We Owe Statement, but this manager claimed that David isn’t authorized to add things to that document, so it didn’t matter that it was in writing. I said I wanted to talk to the manager above him. He ended the conversation by telling me ‘oh by the way, we need to come up tonight and swap out the loaner car you have, because we have a buyer for it’ and threatened me if I didn’t allow them to pick it up. I told him they could pick it up but I wanted a call from the GM first thing in the morning. 3 days went by without a call from anyone. David texted me saying they were ready to deliver the car, and when I asked him if the new side skirt had been reattached, scratches buffed and headlights restored, he responded with a vague “the car looks good.” I asked for a photo of the side skirt, and he sent me one that clearly shows the old broken side skirt reattached- it looks AWFUL. I politely told him I was still waiting for a call from the manager to get things resolved. Finally, on Thursday I informed them I was driving to the mountains for the weekend and would prefer to not do the trip in their loaner car, but was still patiently waiting for a call from a manager. After threatening to report the loaner car as stolen, Reece finally called me and agreed to give me my money back. When David drove up to pick up the loaner and bring me my check, he had the nerve to again offer me the $250 back if I’d take the car. I will gladly pay more to have an HONEST experience somewhere else. More

The dealership has drug their feet by not getting documents to the insurance companies on both gap and extended warranty. We are still making payments on a car that was totaled nearly three months ago because of their ineptitude. We will not recommend them at all. We would give them a negative rating if possible. More
Great price, horrible follow up service Well, where do I start. They made me a great deal and I thought I got a great car for an even better price but what I didn't know is all the problems Well, where do I start. They made me a great deal and I thought I got a great car for an even better price but what I didn't know is all the problems that were about to come. I bought a jeep from a non jeep dealer maybe my first mistake, second mistake was hoping they would do their work before purchase (oil change, inspection and fluid top off) boy was I wrong. Purchased the jeep late February, that weekend found a leak in the radiator and oil extremely low. Called in and was told "sorry we only cover powertrain". Today I notice still under 3 months my front axle is leaking oil from both side and I haven't even got her on trails yet. Calling in tomorrow to hope I get some better answers. We will see what happens, I guess I should of believed all the negative I've heard and read about Bob penkhus dealerships. (Updated: phone call today confirms this company doesn't stand behind their used cars unless it's their brand, highly advise going else where. Over $1,000 in repairs in under 2.5 months. My fault I guess More
Worst Experience Ever I have never been so disappointed. My husband and I went in to purchase a truck on October 7th. We were approved in what I now know is a scheme called I have never been so disappointed. My husband and I went in to purchase a truck on October 7th. We were approved in what I now know is a scheme called YoYo financing which is legal but I question the morality. This means they approved us for nothing down with a payment range. They sent us out of the dealership and had us sign paperwork detailing the sale price and odometer reading and told us we would sign all the final paperwork on the next business day which would have been October 10th. That day came and went with no call from financing. Only one from the original salesmen telling us that in fact the truck we purchased had not been through the 128 point inspection that we had been promised repeatedly that it had. In fact we were told it was priced according to any flaws found during that inspection including a broken door handle. At that time we were told the inspection would occur when we came in for final paperwork. On October 23rd my husband called to inquire about the status of financing and the inspection. The Finance guy, John Day, informed him he was just about to call and schedule us to come in and sign. At that time my husband informed him of a noise that we were eagerly awaiting having looked at. John said he would speak with the sales manager about this and get back to him. Tues, October 17th we received a text message that read, "The sales manager does not want to spend money repairing the truck and we don’t want you to have to either, so just bring it back." No other options were offered and the 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty was not mentioned. Speaking with John a couple days later I was told he reported to the financing company the mechanical problem (that is not diagnosed just our mention) and therefore they will not finance the truck. After leaving a poor review I finally received a call back from the sales manager who had us come in and sit down with him. During this meeting on October 24th (almost three weeks after purchasing the truck) we were told that the issue was that we never secured financing without putting 8,000 dollars down…… From zero to 8,000? I expressed my complete disbelief and frustration with working with this dealership. In three weeks and many calls and text messages no one mentioned a problem with our financing only the truck itself. The sales manager told us he work as hard as he could to discount the truck, fix the issue (as long as it wasn’t catastrophic) and we would only have to put 3,000 down, again would have been nice to know this three weeks ago. He mentioned he would do that first thing in the morning, October 25th and once again I received no call back. Bait and switch at its best! No one at this dealership cares about individuals only making a buck. He mentioned repeatedly to me how many cars they sell in a month, well I don’t care about them and obviously the dealership doesn’t care about me. Do not buy a car here unless you have perfect credit I would avoid the yoyo and not leave with a car or truck without the financing finalized! Where no one buys just one, should be where no one should by one! More

Jeff Huston had me rolling from the moment I walked through the front doors. His laid back demeanor and quick whitt made me more comfortable and relaxed during a usually tense period of time. Speaking of time, I was in and out within 2.5 hours. I knew what I wanted, had a budget, Jeff and his sales manager, Doug D. were able to accommodate my needs and wants completely. Jon Day, the finance manager was my final stop. AMAZING!!!!!! Explained some of the extras the dealership offers but was not pushy. I ended up getting the lifetime oil change option, can't find a better deal in town in regards to that. All in all, Best. Buying. Experience. Ever. Even the guys in back, working behind the scenes ensuring my new CX-5 was clean and gassed up before I drove it off the lot were quick, professional and attentive. More

Doug Delano, Robert Hoff and Ben Wald made, what is usually a tense and agitating experience, an enjoyable one! These gentlemen were fabulous to work with ... I couldn't have asked for a better team! They were knowledgeable, patient, and personable. Furthermore, Robert Huff went above and beyond when he sat with me in my vehicle explaining all the 'gadgets' and answering all my questions AFTER the purchase of the vehicle ... it's hard to find a salesman willing to do that AFTER the sale is concluded!!! One always hopes for amiable and helpful individuals when making such a costly purchase and I found them at Mazda at Powers! Lovin' my new car! Bridget More
AMAZING SERVICE Rob Hoff was by far the most patient car salesman that I've worked with. He sat down with me two times already. First time was for my First car which Rob Hoff was by far the most patient car salesman that I've worked with. He sat down with me two times already. First time was for my First car which was a Ford fiesta. Great commuter car and really nice car for my first initial purchase. I ended up wanting to trade in the vehicle for my DREAM car which was a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. By far best service i think ill ever receive at a car dealership. He worked with me long hours and well informed me about everything about the car itself. I HIGHLY recommend speaking with Rob about your next purchase. More

My husband and I had been searching for a few From the minute Rob (Hoff) walked toward us on the lot I could tell this experience was going to be fun. My husband and I had been searching for a few months for a small crossover and doing research meant visiting lots and looking at cars in person. Now I hate pushy sales people, but I hate customers that waste time as well so before I realized it, I was apologizing to Rob saying I didn't want to waste his time since we were still looking. He looked me dead in the face, shook my hand and said, "Why are you sorry? I'm here to educate you on all things Mazda, not push something on you that you don't want or need. In fact, I want you to do your research, do ALL the research. And when you realize Mazda is the way to go, I'll be here for you." My husband and I laughed (nice sales pitch, bro), but it altered the rest of our experience. We could now ask all the questions, ad noisome, and test drive, without feeling pressured. Rob kept us laughing (seriously my cheeks hurt) and got to know us and our needs, and teach us about the Mazda CX-5 and how it might be a good fit. Well, we did another few weeks of test drives and comparisons to Toyota, Subaru and others, and ended up torn between the Subaru Forester and the Mazda CX-5. We were honest with Rob and told him we were still torn, and he offered for us to take the CX-5 from our test drive home on an extended test drive. If you've never done this, DO THIS. It seriously changes everything when you can drive your day-to-day tasks in a test and see how it performs. We even took Rob up on his offer (although I'm sorry we didn't take him with us because it would have been hysterical) and drove the CX-5 to the Subaru dealer in town. We did a direct comparison and made our choice. Unfortunately the color of CX-5 we wanted wasn't in stock just yet so Rob let us know not to worry but he'd work on it. Wouldn't you know the exact model, trim and color CX-5 was sitting in the spot where we picked up our extended test drive vehicle when we came to bring it back. Remember that whole "And when you realize Mazda is the way to go, I'll be here for you...", well guess who came out grinning ear to ear and giggling. I was jokingly mad that he was so cocky in the beginning, but the guy has every right to be. From styling, pricing, features and care, Mazda is just that little notch above the competitors. Add to that the amazing service from Rob, and the awesome finance guy Ben, who walked us through all of our options, and the entire experience was a pleasure. Now we're the ones grinning ear to ear.
