Bait and switch Drove three and a half hours to look at a 2002 Jeep Liberty for my nephew. Got their early ask to speak to the lady I had corresponded with thru email and phone. salesman led me back to his office and ask how we were going to pay for Jeep and had us fill out credit application. He informed us that we probably could not finance a vehicle that old. He ask my nephew what he was looking for in a vehicle. After about 20 minutes, salesman confirmed jeep was to old to finance, said would let us test drive jeep. He brought around a 2011 Hyundai, ask us to take it out on test drive. I told him we were here to test drive jeep. Finally he brought up Jeep, first problem is the jeep had peeling paint, which was not in photos online or the ones sent to me via email. My nephew got in to test drive, salesman informed us the speedometer and A/C did not work, and that they only did a three point inspection on Jeep. Test drove jeep and came back to dealership, told salesman it had too many problems, told he would give it to us for 5K including dealer fees. Felt like we were being pushed into a newer vehicle and lied to about Jeep. More

But I have maxed out my patience due to the level of incompetence and stupidity this dealership has displayed to me in the last 2 weeks. If I could give 0 stars, I honestly would. I recently purchased a car from Bob Howard - 6th car purchased by my family in the last 10 years from them. We have been very loyal to this dealership. I have never had any problems in purchasing a car from them until now. This was by far the WORST experience in buying a car. I see lots of people ranting and raving about the service of Shane Smith, but he actually provided the worst service I've ever had. Maybe it was an off day, but it's still inexcusable and he will never have my business ever again, nor my friends or family if I have anything to say about it. I picked out the car that I wanted, and it had been on the showroom floor. My dad had mentioned that it appeared that the battery was dead and Shane assured us that the battery was not dead and that the kill switch had just been enabled. He did not tell us that he had to jump the car to get it off of the show room floor, because the battery was in fact dead. Pretty funny that he had to jump a vehicle that the "battery wasn't dead" in. I was at the dealership until 10:30 pm that evening to finalize the deal. At which time, the vehicle was left running the whole time to try to charge up the battery. Shane saw me out to my car after the deal was done, still neglecting to tell me that he had jumped the car and to be careful. I went to get food across the street from the dealership, shut off my car, had a meal, and when I came out the car wouldn't start because the battery was dead. It was after hours and when I called Hyundai Assurance for roadside, the vehicle was so new it wasn't in their system. I was stranded until 1:30 in the morning because of a dishonest move. I wouldn't have been upset if I had been told that the car had been jumped and to be careful to not shut the car off. I took the car home and charged it over night and was able to start the car the next day. The next day I call the dealership because my BRAND NEW VEHICLE needed a new battery. I didn't pay nearly $30k for a car with a completely dead battery. I shouldn't be forced to risk it for something that is brand new. Anybody who knows cars knows that once a battery is completely drained the life of the battery is substantially less. Anyways, I call the dealership and I talk to the internet sales manager (who was extraordinary, by the way). He drove down and picked up my car and took it back to the dealership. He brought it back to me to tell me that the battery test came back normal. Of course it did, it had been charged all night. The whole point was that I was not going to chance it like Shane did the night before. I bought a brand new car, I shouldn't be having to deal with any car issues any time soon. I call the dealership again to speak with the general manager, Michael Ferguson. Michael tells me to bring the car in and the battery will be replaced. I get to the dealership that evening to find out that the battery replacement had not been communicated to the service department and they didn't have the battery in stock. At this point, I'm very frustrated because I feel like their lack of communication has seriously inconvenienced me as it isn't just a few blocks away to get the problem corrected. Luckily, the service manager who was also a saint, was there and helped to fix the problem. But it doesn't stop there. I traded in my car and they were supposed to pay off my car. Only to somehow mess that up and leave a balance left on my car that I no longer have possession of. So, yet again I had to make another phone call to the dealership to correct something that anybody with half a brain should have caught. I have spent too much time dealing with this dealership due to their lack of competence and poor communication skills. If Shane had been upfront and honest about jumping the car, I wouldn't have been so upset. His mistakes led to me being stranded for hours, being inconvenienced multiple times, and overall disappointed in the level of service. He was dishonest and lost my trust, value, and respect I had developed for this dealership over the years. The dealership has offered excuse after excuse with each issue instead of just owning up to their mistakes. Such a disappointing experience. More
They know what's best! Shane did a great job. We were looking for a used Santa Fe but Shane showed us why buying new made more sense, and this one meet all of our wants and Shane did a great job. oh yea I love hyundai. This is my second Hyundai accent. The first one has 30k miles and haven't had a single problem. No recalls. No check engine lights. R I love hyundai.
