Scheduling the appt online didn’t work but Chris scheduled it for me. Also, I really liked the video sent to me by the service technician. Called the Bob Howard Collision Center on 14 July 2023 to see about having work done on my Chevrolet Camaro. Was referred to Doug and I sent him pics and information about my car to get an estimate and set see about having work done on my Chevrolet Camaro. Was referred to Doug and I sent him pics and information about my car to get an estimate and set up an appointment, stating that I would be paying cash for all the repairs. Doug refused to set my car up for an appointment and told me to "wait and call later." Since then he has dodged my calls on 5 separate occasions. As of 02 August, Doug still refuses to return my phone calls and the staff at the collision center will not forward me to another individual who can assist. I've wasted three weeks with them and after this level of disrespect chose another shop to fix my car. I'll now have to wait till October for repairs, but I'm fine with that. Bob Howard Chevrolet doesn't deserve my $$ or business. More
Went in for an issue with my 2013 Volt, on July 27, they made an appointment for me, but when I showed up told me it would be up to 3 days before they could look at it. They ended up looking at it about 24 made an appointment for me, but when I showed up told me it would be up to 3 days before they could look at it. They ended up looking at it about 24 hours later gave me a decent diagnostic for my vehicle, priced the suggested maintenance a little higher than anticipated and what competitors would have but my timeline (passing through on vacation) dismissed not leave me time to take it to another shop. I asked for additional tests to potentially discover and address the problems (common problems) but my requests were met with strong resistance, specifically I was told they wouldn't do what I asked, that they tell the customer what is wrong and what they will do about it and I can approve or disapprove the work. That the customer doesn't get to tell the techs what they want done. I approved the maintenance they proposed for work on my axle and also my hybrid system and I ended up with 3 new problems including brakes, traction and stability. Codes indicating this problem popped up while they worked on my axle and I was informed of this issue before they returned the vehicle to me but they dismissed it as just an errant code and not a mechanical issue, cleared the error code and gave me the vehicle. I didn't make it 2 blocks before my brakes, traction and stability control all failed. It became difficult and unsafe to drive and codes all turned on. I immediately returned the vehicle but it will be at least another day before they look at it. This has delayed my travel and impacted my vacation. Their poor communication led to unnecessary delays. Their dismissal of my requests and their failure to pay attention to detail have disappointed and made me angry, will delay my return from vacation and my work. I will reserve final judgement and am open to amend this review pending the final result but so far I am not impressed. The 4 households I was visiting in this area, 2 of whom are Bob Howard customers are not impressed and have said they'll never buy or do maintenance with them again. There is still time to change our mind but again, for now, this has not been a positive experience. More
