Biggers Mazda in Elgin I truly dislike the service department through the years!! I had a previous CX5 and kept thinking I don’t want another Mazda because of this dealership. They treat women d department through the years!! I had a previous CX5 and kept thinking I don’t want another Mazda because of this dealership. They treat women disrespectfully and basically want you to not say a word and accept lousy service and faulty “genuine faulty parts”. Women have a brain and know when the quality is substandard. But I decided to purchase the CX50 turbo and I love my SUV but I had another negative issue with Biggers Mazda. I paid almost $400 for Biggers of Elgin, to install new mud-flaps on my CX50. My mistake was not actually checking the mud-flaps and installation after completion. After hiking yesterday with my son, I realized I have debris stuck inside of the mudflaps- leaves and dirt. Anyway, I looked closely at the front mud-flaps and they are not tight against the SUV. The back mud flaps are secure and tight- just like in my old CX5 were. So I drove over to Biggers Mazda in Elgin and they took it back. After a half hour it was “fixed” and I could go. I look at the mud-flaps and they were not taken off and reinstalled. I ask why they didn’t fix them and I was told they are fine. They are not fine in the front. I don’t want a gap where all this debris will accumulate. Imagine over time what a mess that would be?? The service man said nothing we can do about it. I told him I am not okay paying almost $400 and they are junk. It looks like crap on my almost 40K car! I asked for the service manager and he told me the same thing- this is the way they are suppose to be! He was acting like I am some idiot and would just accept it. The manager talked down to me and was rude. I showed him how they separate and loose from the car. He then says stop pulling them. I told him the back ones are secure and you can’t pull them open. The car wash and driving will make it even worse. The mud-flaps should be secure!! I told him this and he asked me if I was done? I then looked at him in the eye and asked him if he was done!! I can’t believe he talked to me that way! Imagine being talked to like that!! There is no way he would have talked to a man like that. I told him I want my money back then because they look awful and over time it would hurt the car. The service manager of Biggers Mazda told me he will order new mud-flaps and I can come back for installation when they are in. I will have to deal with Biggers Mazda for the next four years and I do not want to. However, the other Mazda dealers are over 40 minutes from where I live. I will keep posting as needed. Biggers Mazda in Elgin is a big thumbs down. I love Mazda’s— too bad this dealership can’t treat a woman equal to a man. If you have defective parts or installation or service was not correct. Admit it and not just tell the woman she is SOL and have to deal with it. More
Brought my car in for simple oil change service. My SUV was taken over night for a 70 mile joy ride. After getting my car back we agreed to gas fuel up. And a free oil change. When I scheduled an oil change, there was no record of the agreement. Was put on HOLD to check agreement,never came back to phone after holding for more than 10mintues. I have 100% of my service on my 07 Mazda performed at Biggers Mazda. Mostly oil changes as I have followed Steve's advice with good results. In my opinion they have never tried to push anything. I took my 3 to this dealership because the service at another Mazda dealer was subpar. Steve Kershaw has been great to deal with - he treats my vehicle as if it was his own. I have not found that attitud another Mazda dealer was subpar. Steve Kershaw has been great to deal with - he treats my vehicle as if it was his own. My association with this dealership began with the purchase of a new Mazda6 Sportwagon in 2004 and has continued with new car buys of a 2007 CX-7, a 2010 MazdaSpeed3 and a 2012 Mazda5 that my wife jus purchase of a new Mazda6 Sportwagon in 2004 and has continued with new car buys of a 2007 CX-7, a 2010 MazdaSpeed3 and a 2012 Mazda5 that my wife just loves! In addition to the fun-to-drive aspect of the Mazda vehicles, along with their quality and reliability, the dealership sales and service departments have provided me with unmatched performance in my 40+ years of automobile ownership. I recently had a service appointment @ Bigger's Mazda and again, I had a Wonderful experience! We have two Mazda's in our household, and our next two vehicles will be Mazda's in the near futue. Steve Kershaw and his Entire Service Team is why we will always come back! That says alot when you can Trust your Service Dept with your Repairs. I never have to be Concerned that I'm spending too much on a Repair or that the repair is actually, a needed Repair? I know if Steve K and his team say I need to have Service done to one of our Vehicles, I know it is legit and should be taken care of. That says it All for us! Trust, Quality, and No Waiting.
