I am writing to express my profound disappointment and utter dismay with the recent experience my elderly father had at Bical Chevrolet, located at 709 West Merrick Road, Valley Stream, NY 11580. This complaint pertains to the sale of a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, a purchase that was made with great trust and hope for a reliable vehicle. My father, who has worked tirelessly throughout his life to secure his financial stability, invested his hard-earned money into this vehicle just one year ago. He managed to save enough, with the support of his children, to afford this $25,000 purchase. In the past year, he has driven the vehicle sparingly, accumulating only 3000 miles on it. Regrettably, our optimism regarding this purchase has been replaced with profound disappointment and a sense of betrayal. The reason for our dissatisfaction lies in the fact that the transmission of the vehicle is now experiencing significant issues, specifically slipping. It is disheartening to witness such a critical malfunction in a vehicle that was meant to provide reliable transportation. To add insult to injury, when I contacted Mark, the Sales Manager and the General Manager Diane at Bical Chevrolet, to discuss this issue, his and her response was deeply troubling. Mark's and Diane dismissive attitude and his comment that my father "should have bought an extended warranty" were not only unhelpful but also completely unacceptable. To refer to my father's purchase as "another scam" is not only disrespectful but indicative of a larger problem within your organization. Further investigation revealed that my father was misled by the salesman, "Roy Martin," during the initial purchase. Given my father's immigrant background and limited proficiency in English, he was particularly vulnerable to such deceptive tactics. It is unconscionable that an establishment such as Bical Chevrolet would engage in such practices, taking advantage of individuals who are trusting and may not fully understand the intricacies of a car purchase. I feel compelled to share this grievous experience with the broader public to protect others from falling victim to similar unscrupulous behavior. I intend to express my dissatisfaction through various online channels and social media platforms to ensure that potential customers are aware of the questionable practices employed by Bical Chevrolet in Valley Stream, NY, and any affiliated dealerships in the Tri-State area. In conclusion, I implore you to address this matter promptly and try to rectify this dire situation. A month ago I had an appointment at Bical for a routine inspection. Everything went well and I paid and left. After getting in my car and driving off, I noticed that the car was pulling towards the right s inspection. Everything went well and I paid and left. After getting in my car and driving off, I noticed that the car was pulling towards the right side. The car continued to pull and veer towards the right even though I set the wheel straight (the wheel also shifted and turned slightly). There were no issues with my car’s alignment prior to my Chevy appointment today. I called Bical’s service and they suggested I come back in and speak to Bradley about what’s going on. As soon as I got in and said hello to Bradley and that the car seemed to be a bit off he walked away and told me to hold on. He went into a nearby office and then Bradley and I believe the Service Manager came out. The service manager came out raising his voice and shaking his hands in the air telling me that’s not possible. I said I’m not here to argue and that I came in very calmly to inquire about the car pulling towards the right. He then said he didn’t mean to scream at me that’s just his “Italian personality”. I called my father at the same time to come meet me because no one was listening to me. The service manager took me for a drive with my car and said the car is pulling to one side because of the “crown” of the road; I told him I drove home where the road is level and back and that this isn’t the road, it’s the alignment. He insisted that I was wrong and nothing was wrong with the car. When my dad arrived we had to wait for Bradley and the service manager to appear at which point they argued with my dad. Bradley kept speaking to my dad and referring to me as “SHE brought the car in and SHE, etc.” It was as if Bradley was blaming me. The service manager then took my dad and I for a drive and explained to my dad what he did to me. My dad multiple times told him that the car should not pull towards one side and the manager kept saying that cars don’t go straight and all cars will veer to the side. My dad insisted this wasn’t true and that he can’t believe Chevy is saying this to us. We said this isn’t right; we’ve been coming to Bical for 20 years and have purchased 6 cars here and have never been treated like this. Does Bical not care about their customers or want us to come back and the manager then told us no and that we don’t have to come back. I then took the car to a nearby Mavis where they drove the car and confirmed the alignment was off. They have provided me with documentation supporting the alignment being off. I spent $37 at Bical for an inspection and then $173.79 at Mavis for the alignment to be fixed. A $37 task ended costing me over $200. I reached out to Chevy on the 19th and someone said they would follow back up - it's been a month and I haven't heard anything. More
Dealer doesn't not honor pre certificated vehicles for repairs from other chevy dealers. Which it clearly states I can go 2 any chevy in United States. Charged me for service that's covered under pre certificated vehicle warranty within 1yr period. Had car for 5 month 1800 miles later. Some random lady calls me and tells me oh you should have went to the dealer u bought the car from. I paid for all these coverages that allow me to service my car anywhere I feel like bringing it. Please people be aware of this dealer taking advantage of you. Knowledge yourself. I will never recommend them for service. More
