I put a deposit on a car to show good faith in negotiations. After the negotiations failed to result in a sale, they kept the $600 deposit. Initially they said that the check would not even be cas negotiations. After the negotiations failed to result in a sale, they kept the $600 deposit. Initially they said that the check would not even be cashed! BS! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY unless you want to visit small claims court!!! More

I recently purchased a used Pontiac at Bezema and I must say, it was one of the best car-buying experiences I have ever had. The salesman, Ronnie Johnson was a cool guy - friendly, knowledgeable, and attent say, it was one of the best car-buying experiences I have ever had. The salesman, Ronnie Johnson was a cool guy - friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. There was no pressure - he put me at ease right away and offered me a great deal on the vehicle. The sales managers, Joe and Tom were also excellent to work with. They made sure the whole process went smoothly and the car was delivered to me in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend doing business with these guys. More

Several weeks ago I was looking for a car and found one on the internet. When I called, Joe was honest with me about the fact that the car had been hit the previous night by a drunk driver and had some da on the internet. When I called, Joe was honest with me about the fact that the car had been hit the previous night by a drunk driver and had some damage to it. I asked for the CARFAX which he sent me and called the next day. We discussed a price and during the negotiations, I told him that I was concerned that the car had high mileage and there was no evidence of a timing belt change. I asked him to look into the price for the car with a timing belt change and when he found that out, to call me back. He never called back and I called him. He told me that the dealer would do the timing belt for $300. I asked him to come down a little lower and he agreed if I would put a $500 deposit down over the phone. I told him that I would put $250 down that day and if after I saw the photos verifying the "minimal damage", I would give him the other $250. I also asked him whether the timing belt change would include the water pump, as that is common practice, and if not to tell me how much that would cost additionally. The next day I had to call about the photos and when I received them, there was a note saying that the damage could not be seen because it was internal. That made no sense to me, so I called Joe back and asked him to call me. He never called and when I called him the next day, he apologized telling me he did not have my number ( I had given it to him several times), and told me that someone else had sent the photos. He did send me a photo of the damage that day. Joe's description was fairly accurate and I called him to tell him that he could take the other $250. I again asked him about the water pump and he told me that he would call me back. I called him 2 days later and he told me he was meeting with the parts guy that afternoon and would call me the next day. I called 4 days later and he told me that the part would cost $150. I wanted to confirm that the total price would be X. He increased that number by $50 and when I asked him why, he said it was for the cost of labor. I asked him if he would put down in writing everything that they would be doing to the car service-wise and the total price for the car. At that point, he said that he would be willing to do that if I would put more money down on the car. I told him that I was not going to put any more money down, until I saw the car and asked him when it would be finished. He gave me the same answer he had given me 10 days ago, which was 10-12 days. I asked him for a firm date and then he told me that the price we agreed upon was not with the timing belt and that the car would now cost me $500 more than we originally agreed. He became beligerent with me, so I asked him to refund my deposit. He said that was fine and that he would sell the car for more anyways because there was high demand for it. (It had been on the lot for 3 months and now has been in an accident.) I called the dealership to talk with the sales manager and was given the run around. I talked with Angela, the receptionist, and explained that I wanted to talk to Joe's suprevisor. She told me that would be Marty Bezema, who is the dealership owner. I told her that I would prefer not to give my last name at that point and would prefer not to involve any one else for the time being. Apparently gave my message to Tom O'Neil, who called me saying that he was the sales manager. I asked him why Marty did not call me and he said that Marty does not handle customer complaints, he does. Tom was very aggressive and angry and I told him that based on the way that he approached the call, I would prefer to talk to Marty. I could hear Joe in the background. He claimed that it was Marty's birthday and the Marty would not ever call me. He then asked if I wanted the car. I told him I did not and stressed that I would call back for Marty. He then yelled "don't ever call this dealership again." I told him I would call back to speak with Marty and he said Marty said don't ever call this dealership again, but if you do get him, the first thing I want you to do is tell him that you spoke with Tom O'Neil. I was so completely shocked. I tried calling back to verify whether Marty actually directed Tom to act like that or whether Tom was a rogue employee. I spoke with Angela who admitted giving the message directly to Tom, but also told me she would not/could not connect me to Marty. These people are very shady. They clearly don't care about customers, only sales. Obviously this dealer must still be making a lot of money even in this economy that he can direct his managers to tell potential customers never to call the dealership again. The sad part is that I was willing to spend several thousand dollars more and will be doing so.... More
After shopping around, we went into Bezema. Not only were they the first dealer to locate the 2009 G8 we wanted, but they found us one in the color and with the options we wanted. Another dealer found us car they the first dealer to locate the 2009 G8 we wanted, but they found us one in the color and with the options we wanted. Another dealer found us car more expensive options (leather package instead of cloth), telling us to take what they could find us and pay for the difference. Ric at Bezema made the effort to find us the exact car that we wanted and he located it a a dealer in Syracuse. The next business day, the car was on its way to Norwood, MA. We test drove it the following night and drove it off the lot last night. And did I mention the beat the other dealer's price by $1500. When we picked up the car, it was clean and ready to go. Rick took me through all of the options and we were off. I sincerely appreciated that the all the running around including faxing back copies of the plate return receipt to our insurance agent. While their showroom could use an update, the customer service was top notch. I'm looking forward to an equally pleasant service experience. More

We attempted to purchase a 2006 Buick Terraza in early June, requesting that an XM radio be installed. We were told that was no problem, a GM factory installer would be used. We got the run around for t June, requesting that an XM radio be installed. We were told that was no problem, a GM factory installer would be used. We got the run around for the next week, several times trying to get us to take the vehicle before the installation was completed. We were called that the car was ready on a Friday, went to pick it up, wrote a check, but never saw the car, then we were told that the car would not be ready for "several more hours". We requested to void the transaction - someone from the back room came out and almost cried like a baby to please, please, please give them a chance to make good. This could go on for a very long time.... finally on Sat. late afternoon our salesperson called, said the car could not be delivered, we should come and get our plates and check back. We got the plates, but the fun began re: deposit. It is now mid-August. The $500.00 deposit HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED. Luckily, we quickly called GM and got our GMCard points re-instated. Recall - we never got the car, but they had also taken the points. We've never had anything close to a car-buying experience as deviated as this on! More
Grea tthat they have a rating service now. I will never purchase a vehicle from this place again. When I purchased my Denali from them I made an intiial deposit of $500.00 subject to my being satisfied wit purchase a vehicle from this place again. When I purchased my Denali from them I made an intiial deposit of $500.00 subject to my being satisfied with my trade-in value for my vehicle for which I diodnp;t have with me at the time of my original deposit(my wife's car was the trade-in car). Well when I got the value report from them and sat down with the sales manager regarding my dis-appointment with that value and I no longer wanted to continue withthe deal he said I would "lose my deposit" at which point I laughed and said it was subkject to my being satisifed with the "Trade-in value". Having dealt with much sleazy sales pootctehs, etc in the automobile showroom the manger capperd it off when he said that the trade-in was written so as to mean "dealer- trade-in" which is term they use for when they don;t have a customer vehicle on the premises and they trade simlar inventory between the dealerships. That was a pretty "sleazy" tactic I thought and vowed I would never buy a car from them again and would share my story. Needless to sday afetr some more negoitiating I was able to obtain a more desirable fair trade-in value for my vehicle and did purchase the car(we wanted the car anyway). HAd this not occuirrd then I felt that I would have had to go to court to obtain my initial deposit back....Lesson learned Next time you negotiate a transaction with any Sales person /manager you ned to make "explicit language" as their view of trade-in is differnt than your view of trade-in even though the sleazy sales person understoood that the cusotmer was referring to trade-in figure for their car.. I learned within 1 week that he sales person I interfced to was fired and I belive it had to do with my transaction. Also, I'm in th emarket for a new car(trading in the gas guzzling Denali) and I certainly will not stop by Bezema for any of my business.. More
