Inquired about a 2020 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor at Best Buy Auto Shop West Babylon and dealt with Dan. First was told his was a partner of the used car lot then was told he is the manager and an other Best Buy Auto Shop West Babylon and dealt with Dan. First was told his was a partner of the used car lot then was told he is the manager and an other employee told me he was a salesman like himself. Total confusion from the start and appear to be diversion by everyone that works there. Spoke to Dan and he said price is $14999 but I pointed out posted special at $12999 appearing to be a drop in price. Deceptive practice of fine print of does not include $2000 down. I requested information about the vehicle as far as carfax,, more pictures and a video. That took over a week to get and constant delays and no calls back. Dan always apologizing when he did finally called, "I didnt forget about you" and now it seemed just lip service. I did make an offer and Dan was considering selling but needed approval from his "partner" for the sale but would call me back within hours or the next day. Two weeks past, no call back and leaving messages for Dan with whoever answered the phone at the business. One day he just left for FL for a few days but a day later was told he just stepped out of the office. Final call and reached someone who I could barely understand would say "just sold." Hey if you sold it out from under me, no big deal, have the fortitude to make a call and tell me or do the right thing and give me first shot because of my seriousness to buy. I did my own research and followed up where the explorer came from and about the questionable accident on the carfax which was told by Dan a very minor rear-ender. I received an email response back from the Director of County Fleet Services and come to find out the Ford Explorer interceptor was decommissioned by the Riverhead Sheriff Dept. and the Director of County Fleet Suffolk County said the Ford Explorer was a total loss and salvaged and sold off for a few hundred dollars. Director informed me the explorer should not be for sale and does not know how there is a clean title. Who knows where Best Buy got this Explorer from but they state on the website "they carefully chose vehicles by their experts." This is awareness to anyone who wants to buy from Best Buy Auto Shop. Horrendous customer service, no courtesy to potential buyer, questionable quality of cars and just wasted my time. In the end, buyers beware. I am sure they will come back with false information an spin it but this rating is based on my honest experience. More
