My wife and I had a very good experience at Bertera Subaru. Stan was excellent as a sales person, very easy to work with, with no "high-pressure" sales. I contacted Stan via phone, text and email probably 15-20 times during the buying process (I'm sure I was kind of a pain) and he was very helpful every time. My past experience as a single woman purchasing a car at a new car dealership was intimidating and challenging,to say the least. Needless to say I was apprehensive about turning into the parking lot at Bert a new car dealership was intimidating and challenging,to say the least. Needless to say I was apprehensive about turning into the parking lot at Bertera in West Springfield.I was expecting the usual crowd of vultures and the hard sell and arm twisting I've been met with before. Instead I was met will Bill Montanari, who was not only knowledgable and attentive to the nth degree but listened and produced what I was looking for. His patience while I struggled to choose between two great vehicles, was commendable! I wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes! The rest of the crew was great as well including Dan Leary who delivered my car to me at Mercy Medical Center and Rob, the dealership's sales manager. I realy felt the sense of being part of a family and community that a true local business should be.Of course I am loving the vehicle (particularly the satelitte radio) but the best part is the feeling of meeting trustworthy friends who I will be happy to refer others to and myself return to in the future. We just took delivery of a 2012 Outback from Bertera Subaru. While most people get excited by the prospect of having a new car, few look forward to the process of buying one. We have purchased many ne Subaru. While most people get excited by the prospect of having a new car, few look forward to the process of buying one. We have purchased many new vehicles over the years and can honestly say our experience at Bertera was actually enjoyable! The attentivenes, hospitality and knowledge of the staff is at a level not often seen. Our sales rep, Nuno Marques, was truly a pleasure to work with. Because we were first-time Subaru buyers, Nuno worked very hard to educate us about the vehicles and the brand in general. He never tried to "Sell". Rather, he equiped us to make informed decisions. It's seems that Subaru's are in demand and tend to sell themselves. Given this, it was surprising to see the effort that Nunu put forth to make sure we were comfortable with every aspect of the process. If you are in the market for a Subaru, I think you would find the experience at Bertera to be favorable. If your sales rep happens to be Nuno Marques, you are doing even better! More
Nuno Marques was very friendly and approachable and gave me as much time as i needed - he also did not try to pressure me into purchasing either a particular car or additional options - i picked out the opt me as much time as i needed - he also did not try to pressure me into purchasing either a particular car or additional options - i picked out the options i thought i wanted and also asked for his opinion, which was very valuable in my selection - with Nuno, you are dealing with a human being, not just an employee who wants desperately to make a sale, or who cant be bothered giving you the time you want, because you are not buying the most expensive car on the lot - Nuno followed up on everything i asked him to, and there were a number of details that needed to be dealt with after the sale, and trade-in of my Toyota - i feel like i got a very good price for my new Forester, and i am extremely happy with it - i think being a successful and well-liked car salesperson is a very difficult job, and its also a difficult situation for both the salesperson and the perspective buyer - i would much rather not have to haggle about price, but just have prices be what they are, as it would be in a department store, for example - but since thats not the case, dealing with Nuno, who was knowledgeable and patient, it was about as good an experience as it could possibly have been - i would certainly refer people to him, and my next Subaru will be bought with his help - you have an excellent employee in Nuno. Customer service rep Dean was rude and insolting. Would not honor employee discount they advertised with my company. Then they deleted the discount with my employer. Courteous, up front, smooth, fast. Test drove the car on Thursday. The next morning, a salesperson (Aaron) drove the car to my mechanic in Northampton to check everything out. Everything checked out beautifully. That Sunday, only three days from putting down my deposit, I signed the papers, and drove my car home. But then a snarl occurred. No one's fault, but it happened, and I was prepared to be very unhappy. Without batting an eye, the Internet sales manager, Rich Santoni, and the general manager, Shawn Sullivan, just took care of the problem, and suddenly there was no more problem. SUPERB customer service. I am a VERY HAPPY customer. I LOVE my new used -- oops, I mean "pre-owned" -- car. More
