Everyone at this dealership goes above and beyond to make the experience as pleasurable as possible. I got a great price for my trade in and they got me exactly the car I was looking for, for considerably le the experience as pleasurable as possible. They were not pushy at all, very helpful and concerned with getting me exactly what I wanted. I actually had fun purchasing this car (really). Based on my knowledge of others' experience with the Subaru brand and my son's ownership of a Forester in particular, I entered the Bertera dealership expecting to like the products. So for me, whether my wife and I ultimately left with a Subaru lease or not was all about the customer experience. Andrea McCorkindale was the first to greet me after a few moments of browsing, and, when I told her almost immediately that I liked shopping for cars less than visiting the dentist, she smiled and invited me to chat about our needs from the car shopping experience. Her genuine warmth, excellent listening ability, and disarming honesty soon made me feel at ease. I did not test drive a car during that visit but expressed interest in either the Outback or Forester, and while I assured her that I needed to return to the dealership with my wife for test drives and before any final decision would be made about a lease, Andrea was able to provide me with accurate lease figures and help me to understand the contingencies related to the disposition of our existing lease. Andrea's friendliness and sense of humor in that initial visit (along with a great product line) guaranteed that I'd return with my wife. My wife and I returned in a couple days to complete our test drives. Again, Andrea's warmth was evident. She also respected our need for privacy during a few occasions during that visit to discuss details and choices. Her patience with us was clear. We did finally come to terms, signing a lease agreement for a 2013 Outback. In working out the final numbers, which included their consideration of possible equity in our currently leased Nissan, and completing the paperwork, I experienced my one mild disappointment. Where another dealership of an altogether different brand had "found" equity in our leased Nissan and was prepared to soften the price somewhat, the appraiser at Bertera did not. That left the price a bit higher than I had hoped for. In fairness to Bertera, no assurance had been given that they would find additional value in our current vehicle. I assume the dealership's need for particular pre-owned vehicles plays some role. I did not pursue that. Andrea was again quite helpful in the delivery of the car. She has already followed up with us more than once to be sure that our experience has been positive. Others at the dealership with whom we have dealt in completing paperwork and so on have done nothing to undermine our most positive feelings. We heartily endorse Andrea McCorkindale and the Bertera Subaru dealership. More
Gil is the most non pressure salesman we have ever dealt with in buying a new car. We felt he was the most fair salesman and he made us feel like we where the most important customer he ever sold a new car with in buying a new car. My husband and I priced the outback online, and Bertera subaru gave us, by far, the best quote for a 2013. We drove over 4 hours to view the vehicle and discuss our trade in, hoping that we were not driving such a great distance only to be disappointed with the trade in we were offered, or to find that the deal we spoke about would not be honored. We were VERY pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Josh, who took the time to ask about our drive and offer us coffee prior to again re-iterating the deal that he and my husband spoke of (which was over $1,000 less than any other dealership had offered us). We viewed the car, which was exactly what we had expected, in exactly the shape stated, and were given a very fair price for our trade in. In addition, Josh made arrangements to have the vehicle registered in NY for us, and to have a driver deliver the outback and pick up our trade in. We have bought several vehicles and have never met a dealer who is so honest and helpful. I would highly recommend Josh! More

The other dealer missed out on two other Subaru sales in the near future (My monther in law and brother in law). At the West Springfield site, Tyler Johnson was very pleasant and understood about our previous issues with the other dealer after we explained the unehtical sales tactics. Apparently a lot of people have problems with the sales methods at the other CT dealer. It took a while to make a deal because of the model that my wife wanted but after a couple of hours, we settled on a price and a fair trade price for our vehicles. The general manager also came to talk us to make sure we were all set. Hope to buy another Subaru there soon. Dan also explained all of the finance options and extras even though we told him we weren't interested but it was good to see the current after sales options. Just goes to show you that treating people properly, unlike the large CT dealer, can work out. We will be getting all of our service in West Springfield and will use them for future purchases. More
