I was given above and beyond quality assistance in choosing the vehicle that best fit my needs and criteria without being hassled and pressured into making a decision. My vehicle was also ready for pi choosing the vehicle that best fit my needs and criteria without being hassled and pressured into making a decision. My vehicle was also ready for pick up in exceptional time as not to hinder my daily routines. The sales person Larry Flakes was accessible whenever any questions arouse and answered such with precision to the best of his knowledge. My experience was definitely one to remember and the kindness and promptness of this staff brought it above and beyond!!! I hope to experience further positive encounters if need be. More
My story might end up similar to those unhappy reviews, except I have yet to make the deal that the dealership's sales manager promised me. My hope is that through good communication, I can ask the dealer except I have yet to make the deal that the dealership's sales manager promised me. My hope is that through good communication, I can ask the dealer to stick to his word, and make the deal they promised me, that they seem to be trying to avoid. If they make the deal and stick to their word, I will come back on this review site, and post an honest conclusion to my experience whereby the dealership sticks to its contractual offer, and my legal acceptance that makes this a contract in this state. Went to look at a 2010 Silverado extended cab 4x4. Price was high, but add on sticker was worse. After some similar waiting around complaints that others mentioned before me, I was able to get to work with the sales manager and get to the monthly payments I needed, and what seems to be a fare offer on my trade. There were two rebates discussed in our negotiations. 1 was the current promotion for $4,000, and 2 a GM loyalty rebate for $1,000 because I am currently a GM owner. During the final stage of negotiation, the sales manager came and sat down with us, and said he wanted to know if he got me the deal I wanted, would I be a customer TODAY. I said, if you can get my payments to $380 mo, for 60 months, all I have to do is drop my son to work, and call the wife, and I'm pretty sure it's a done deal. He said, "Oh I can get you the $380 a month no problem, but will I earn your business today. Again, I said one call, and I will let you know TODAY. He was kind enough to offer me the vehicle to take for the night, but that didn't work out. I called the dealership back within 45 minutes to tell the salesman that I would be back in 30 minutes to do the deal as my wife and I agreed it was a good price for the truck and my trade. The salesman who was a decent guy throughout the whole process told me he would get the process started. 20 minutes later, he called me back and said they could not do the deal because the $1,000 rebate was not valid. Though I was upset, and had to think things over, I called back again and told the salesman I would pay the $1,000 in cash for the false rebate that I found on the web as he was right, it was not on any GM site that I found this rebate. He said again, he didn't know, he would have to check with the Sales Manager about the deal, and I said what do you mean, you made a contractual offer, I accepted and am willing to put the extra Thousand down for the rebate, and have not received a call back all day yesterday 4/13/10, and now I've called this morning to see what the status is, and I'm still waiting to hear. Trying to remain optimistic, but its difficult when you read the reviews on this website, and a few others. I'm hopeful that I will be able to post a good review for Bertera, and hopeful give some kind honest feedback to the GM as to my whole experience at Bertera Chevrolet. Stay Tuned......... Have not heard back from Bertera yet, so I'm off to a nice small hometown Chevy Dealer in Amherst, MA to see if they can help me bug my new Silverado. With Bank Pre-approval, a good trade, and some cash down plus taxes & reg. fees to boot, I never though this would be so difficult. While I was at the small Chevy dealer I got a call back from the Bertera Sales Manager, and he was a little overbearing as he spoke I felt that I was being cut off in the middle of my sentence each time. While I do agree there was no way this or any other dealership was going to get the amount of truck I was looking for into the $380 per month at 60 months. I disagree that I did not specify that I would only go 60 months on the loan. In fact, I specifically told the salesman and the Sales Manager that I was looking at 60 months firm. I went as far as to say to these folks when I first sat down, that I would not do the back and forth thing. I told them I would make my offer very clear, and if they could not do it, just shake my hand and say I tried, but could not get you there. Instead, I got a sales manager who calls me back with a bit of an edge to his attitude, and cutting me off impolitely each time I tried to explain my view. I eventually gave up trying to talk with the guy and said, if I need your services in the future, I'll call you, bye. The facts are, if he were so upfront and forthright, why, when he sat and said in a very confident voice "Oh I can get you to $380 no problem", but will I earn your business TODAY, did he fail to mention the terms associated with that payment all together. Isn't that one of the most important things a buyer needs to know before answering the magical question... "Will I Earn Your Business Today"? After reading the reviews on this web site, I am so grateful. With most folks, I could have worked past the minor issues of a not so clear conversation, but when the conversation gets uncomfortable, and then you read all the other reviews, you realize this may not be the best place to give my hard earned money. Combine everything above with the fact that this dealership has a Sales Manager dedicated to this web site, spending all day defending all the unhappy customers, and the really bad practice of using what Edmunds.com calls "The Rip-Off Sticker scam, you should really look at dealers with much higher customer satisfaction numbers. If you want to know about the Rip-Off Sticker Scam, go to http://www.edmunds.com/advice/buying/articles/161746/article.html It will explain how dealers use this dirty little ploy to bogusly inflate the sticker price, to force the public to pay more than the vehicle is actually even worth, placing you even further upside down in the loan to value range. This dealer has actually had a Rip-Off Sticker in every single vehicle I looked at that day. In closing, I placed a deposit with the little dealership in Amherst, because he was a gentlemen, even when he had to tell me what I didn't want to hear. He got me to my payments, though I did have to go to 72 months, but because he felt bad about my experience, he gave me the Z71 Silverado priced $1,800 more than the other dealer, at the same price they were going to sell me a lesser truck at a 72-75 month term. I did not trash this dealers ratings, because the salesman was not a bad guy, and I gave a good score for customer service because the girl who directs the incoming calls was very polite and friendly. My negative points were about the feeling of dishonesty between me and the dealer, as well as the Rip-Off Sticker thing. In the end I rated the price ok, as I do believe the final price would have been ok. Despite getting an even better deal elsewhere, I understand how our free market system works. More
On April 3, 2010, I posted a negative review. Since that day, Bertera Chevrolet has made good on their promises and my overall experience has been good. The car's safety was always their main goal and ther day, Bertera Chevrolet has made good on their promises and my overall experience has been good. The car's safety was always their main goal and therefore I should have been more patient with the delivery of the car. I would recommend this dealership. More
So, I read all of the reviews on here about this dealership and how corrupt and what-not they were and decided to go for a visit and see for myself. They had some nice cars on their website (with st dealership and how corrupt and what-not they were and decided to go for a visit and see for myself. They had some nice cars on their website (with stock numbers) that I wanted to see so I headed over from Boston. I dealt with Michael Tex and he patiently talked to me about the various vehicles and we went on 3 test drives. He was well informed and patient and after the test drives, I said I liked a car but I'd have to think about it. No pressure whatsoever, he thanked me for coming, gave me his card and told me to call him if I had any questions. Just because someone else had a bad experience and decided to go off on a rant, doesn't make this place a bad dealership. They had nice cars and good service. I was greeted before I walked in the door and treated very professionally. More
All the people I dealt with were very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I would recoomend this dealership and return again when I'm in the market again. They bent over backward to get me in the vehicle and knowledgeable. I would recoomend this dealership and return again when I'm in the market again. They bent over backward to get me in the vehicle I wanted. Their free delivery service is a boon for someone like me who lives so far away (Boston). Free tires for life is a great deal, too. More
went in looking for a used silverado. drove the truck, agreed on price. called the next day, to be told that the salesman i was dealing with was "sick"... delt with another guy who was a bit of a flake an agreed on price. called the next day, to be told that the salesman i was dealing with was "sick"... delt with another guy who was a bit of a flake and almost impossible to reach. I went in to sign the paperwork for the truck and look it over again. the whole ordeal felt rushed and unprofessional. later found out the salesman i was orignally dealing with "no longer worked there" (revolving door type sales staff) i asked them to fix a few things on the truck, which they did, eventually, picked the truck up and drove it for a day when i noticed a few more problems with the vehicle. i scheduled a service appt. and left the truck for the day just to be told that they had no idea what i was talking about, they did hear any noise and what noise they did hear was normal- the big brush off. i was told "well, its a used vehicle!" i earn my living as a mechanic so i had to fix the issues with the truck myself... one of the noises "they couldnt hear" was actually a mistake made by the technician who performed the work on the truck! all i know is if i "brushed off" people that came in to my dealership the way they did to me... i wouldn't have a job anymore! I'm giving this rating because, my previous car interest rate was 21% 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, after going to Bertera Chevrolet, the finance manager in particular worked very hard and got me a deal on a 2008 rate was 21% 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, after going to Bertera Chevrolet, the finance manager in particular worked very hard and got me a deal on a 2008 Ford Expidition at 8%, I could not believe how great they were in assisting me. My wife and I showed up at this dealership on a Saturday morning without an appointement. We were met but a friendly sales associate and informed him that we were looking for a convertible and that we had morning without an appointement. We were met but a friendly sales associate and informed him that we were looking for a convertible and that we had viewed several on their website. After he wrote down our name and number and noted several makes that we were interested in, he said he would get some keys and promised to be right back. About 15 minutes later, my wife noticed that all the sales people were gathered in one office, I'm guessing the General Manager's. We thought it was odd to schedule a staff meeting while there were customers in the showroom, but we're both professionals and were willing to be understanding. Several minutes went by, and while we weren't able to hear what was being said during the meeting, we noticed that the voice of the GM (or whomever's office it was) began to rise and his tone to sharpen. At one point we actually overheard him swearing at his staff about how some car deal was approved. My wife and I looked at each other in disbelief and she said to me that we should probably leave. We left the dealership feeling disrespected and insulted. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable of any type of organization that prides itself on customer service. I would never go back to this dealership and would not recommend it to friends and associates. More
