I bought a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo from Bertera Chevrolet. I was extremely impressed upon driving up to the dealership, and was immediately greeted at the door. I had done my research and essentially knew which veh extremely impressed upon driving up to the dealership, and was immediately greeted at the door. I had done my research and essentially knew which vehicle I wanted to purchase, but I was still impressed with the timely manner in which I walked into the dealership and drove out with my new car. I live on the Cape and had mechanical issues a short time after purchase. My muffler began to rot a bit, causing a hole in my muffler, which made it very loud and unsafe due to emissions. I took a chance and called Bertera to tell them about my issue, thinking that I would be told that I was well past the warantee and they would be unable to help me, or would request that I had to drive from Cape Cod to Palmer to repair it. However, I could not have been more wrong. After speaking with Bertera and discussing my repair, they allowed me to get my car fixed on the Cape, and they sent me a full reimbursement check within days of calling them. Economic times are tough, and Bertera was an enormous help during this time. It is nice to know that they not only care about their cars, but also the people driving them. I would recommend Bertera as the sales staff were extremely professional and they took care of issues immediately upon receipt of my phone call.I highly recommend Bertera of Palmer and will definitely be going back there to buy my next car! ~Jaime F. After emailing and speaking with Bob on a Sunday, we nade the trip to Palmer (which is an hour and a half away). It was never mentioned to us that the dealership closed at 4. We discovered this when we che the trip to Palmer (which is an hour and a half away). It was never mentioned to us that the dealership closed at 4. We discovered this when we checked out the website on the way up. We called Bob to say that we running a little past 4 and he told us to "come on down...we'll see what we can do". We had made it clear that we were not tire kickers. We went there in our trade, check in hand (we didn't even need financing). We knew the car we wanted and were going to make it happen right there. When we arrived at 4:10, there was still solid activity in the showroom and the lot. When we went inside, it was the most uncomfortable atmosphere and there was an employee who appeared to be some type of manager pacing the showroom. After standing there awkwardly for 5 minutes being ignored, my husband approached him and explained our situation. The man said "Bob left and the rest of the salespeople are with finishing with customers." And then walked away! My husband was done at that point but as we exited, A J asked if we had been helped. He was the only bright spot in our visit. My husband explained the situation again and asked if a Used Car Manager could look at the trade and the rest we could probably do by phone. He went into the Business Manager's office (where the other guy who's job apparently was to make people uncomfortable was lurking as well) and he was clearly annoyed with A J's request. AJ came out and said no one could help us but when could we come back. We told him never and left. We understand that no one likes to work Sundays but it's part of the sales week and we were customers ready to buy. My husband has been in the business for more than a decade and he commmented that he has never turned away a customer. Bertera must be doing very well to turn away business and treat potential customers with such disregard. More
Stopped in to Bertera-Palmer while driving back home to the Berkshires from a stop in Worcester. It was my first visit to a dealership as I begin the search to replace my Bonneville which has just passed the Berkshires from a stop in Worcester. It was my first visit to a dealership as I begin the search to replace my Bonneville which has just passed 182,000 miles. Didn't intend to buy, just look at several models. Wound up test driving a nice Malibu, then sizing up an Impala. Johnny and Jay were both friendly, informative and cooperative. While I still wasn't ready to buy at the end of the visit, they offered pricing that will certainly bring me back when I'm ready to go to the next step. My son is a GM mechanic in Southborough MA and encourages me to keep the brand in the family. More
I have had bad expirances attempting to purchase a car as a young female and felt that salesmen would try to take advantage of me. Trevor Smart was so wonderful and honest and helpful. My husband called the dealership regarding a murrano that they had on their lot. He told Trevor that he was sending his wife over to test drive the car only. I came in and asked for him and he brought the they had on their lot. He told Trevor that he was sending his wife over to test drive the car only. I came in and asked for him and he brought the car over and I test drove the car. While out on the test drive I told Trevor that I did come in the other day asking if they had a BMW M3, the person said no, but that person did offer to get one for me, and I said no that's OK. So anyway, Trevor said do you mean an X3? I said yes that's the one, I got my X3's and M3's mixed up. So, we returned to the dealership and I test drove the BMW X3. I told him that I really liked the care, but my husband would not be available until Sunday, to come down and test drive the car. He said that would not be a problem. I put down a $300.00 hold on the car, until my husband could come and look at the car. I told Trevor that I just test drive cars, I don't get involved with the cost of the car. He was great, he never pressured me into making a deal. He is a very professional salesmen. He is a great asset to the Bertera dealership. He was always professional, and also shared some things about his family, as I did as well. We had great laughs about the car, kids and other things. He's just not trying to just sell a car, he also likes to know somethings about the person themselves. He did tell me that I was taking one of his favorite cars off the lot, sorry Trevor, but there are two more cars of his liking. I just want to thank Trevor again for everything! More

I got an email quote from a woman named Holly Blade. She quoted me $327 for a 10' 1500 Silverado just to get me in the door, once I got there, she gave me another sales rep who said she made a mistake and t quoted me $327 for a 10' 1500 Silverado just to get me in the door, once I got there, she gave me another sales rep who said she made a mistake and the best monthly payment would be in the $400 range. The manager was extremely rude and out for my money. He wanted nothing more then to see me leave with a vehicle at the price he was giving and that's it. If I walked, I walked. I was extremely frustrated wanted nothing more then to see me leave with a vehicle at the price he was giving and that's it. If I walked, I walked. I was extremely frustrated with the lack of car knowledge trying to shut down every vehicle sold buy any other company and would lie about the knowledge of the car telling me what I wanted to hear just so it made it sound better. My sales associate, all he cared about was me getting this car and giving him the best rating on this dealer.com. He would never return my calls even if I called twice and it was important he would lie and say he never got the call, which I know was not true. The two of them made my experience so unpleasant I wouldn't wish this experience upon anyone, no mater how much I dislike them. More
