After some time, I was advised that my truck may not have a transmission issue and it may be that the PCM or the power control module needed to be replaced. Additionally, I was told that the repair price was $1599. With some mechanical repair experience myself, I felt that the $1599 price was way too high. Following the removal of my truck from Beach Ford service, I Purchased the same type of remanufactured PCM that the Ford dealership would purchase, from O’Reilly auto parts. Following the removal of my truck from Beach Ford service, I Purchased the same type of remanufactured PCM that the Ford dealership would have purchased, from O’Reilly auto parts. My cost was a mere $140. And that was with a one year warranty on the part. The PCM I Purchased from O’Reilly auto parts came already programmed from the factory. Beach Ford was charging me an additional $140 to program the PCM they were purchasing. With minor effort, and about after 30 minutes, I was able to switch out the PCM in my truck and now my truck runs fine. Just wanted to report the vast difference in pricing on this repair. More

Further, Beach Ford’s showroom was far superior to any other car dealership we went to. We looked at every brand of vehicle before deciding on an Explorer. Their place of doing business was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The food court was not duplicated anywhere else. Those employees were great, too. Next was service. We took the Explorer back for a regular service. Mallory and Jasmin took charge and got us in and out in minimal time. Like the rest of the Beach Ford operation, they were consummate professionals. Frankly, we were concerned about the whole service package we bought. I bought a new pick-up of a foreign maker that came with “free oil changes and inspections”. Getting in/out took hours even if arriving before the door opened. They made it so hard I just stopped and paid to have it done elsewhere. At Beach Ford, we barely got our breakfast down at their food court when Mallory and Jasmin came to let us know the car was ready. Super! More

I received an email that it was due for an oil change and to call or go online and make an appointment. I went online and it said there were no appointments available so I called the service department. They told me the first appointment available wasn't for 2 WEEKS! I asked if they had an Express Service for oil changes and was told NO. I think this is ridiculous so I took it to Tread Quarters and had my Oil changed and Coolant changed and flushed with no appointment and in 2 1/2 hours. Beach Ford has lost my business. More
