We purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback in January 2023. A major issue is still unresolved as of 5/19/23. The problem we have had is the systemic battery drain issue in Subarus. I just thought it must have had an old battery or something. But it has had three new batteries. installed so far. Finally a speciality electronics place (recommended by me) determined that the Data Communication Module is bad and was causing the drain. Now I'm wrestling with Beach Ford to get the DCM replaced. Neither the salesman or sales manager are responding to phone calls, text messages or emails. I thought Beach Ford was a reputable dealership. We may have to resort to legal action. More

Took our new Escape in on recall . Woman service person called saying new parts needed and I was not getting car back rental was available. This shocked us. I purchased a used vehicle from them. I have had to take the vehicle back to the service department twice in less than a month of its purchase. Not to mention to another Ford dealer, onc I have had to take the vehicle back to the service department twice in less than a month of its purchase. Not to mention to another Ford dealer, once, that was closer than the hour & 45 minutes it takes me to get to Beach Ford. Needless to say the vehicle is still not up to the standard that was implied when it was purchased. I can also say that on the first trip to the service department (which they had the vehicle for a week) the vehicle came back missing a 3 foot front bumper trim piece that its removal had no relevance to the service. The visit to the other dealership (the closer one) told me the vehicle had 3 issues that needed to be addressed immediately. Now let me say this, I was told to go to the other dealership by Beach Ford. So on my second visit to Beach Ford’s service department they fixed one of three issues. A twenty minute SCHEDULED repair that took 6 hours. Now the reasoning for this 6 hour wait was according to Chris, the individual in charge, was that the part just arrived 5 1/2 hours into the wait. This common part, that was what my scheduled appointment was for evidently was not in their service department. Okay ! But according to the technician, he said he wasn’t aware the customer was waiting for the vehicle. So either there was a serious miscommunication within their network or someone was not being completely honest. Either way, to me, this reflects on a poorly ran business and the one in charge is responsible. I will say, my salesman was an absolute jewel. The only highlight ! More
Scheduling service was easy, and I was able to arrange a convenient appointment. My service advisor (Sierra) called to let me know that additional work needed to be performed in order to pass inspection, an convenient appointment. I needed new tires and told her that I would buy them at another place. She confirmed that I could bring the car back after the tires were on and they would complete the inspection for me in a short period of time. I really appreciated her knowledge and experience, and she was very professional as she answered my questions. I like the atmosphere at Beach Ford-they have a very pleasant lounge area, with TV, snacks, tables and chairs/sofas, and if you choose to wait for repairs to be made to your car, it is quite comfortable. I trust the work they perform on my car. More
