Exceptional I originally purchased a Jeep Compass in 2012 from Bart's Auto Sales from a different group of men. The experience I had then was warm and friendly. No one was pushy and they let me look and find what I wanted. To be honest I picked out another vehicle because I didn't think I would qualify for the Jeep. To my surprise my salesman must of seen me looking and found me a lender without my knowledge. Last year at the end of 2014 my Jeep was totaled out due to an accident. I dreaded going to look for a vehicle. I found myself going back to Bart's because of the service that I received the first time. Again, I had an exceptional experience. George Feldman is an excellent car salesman. He lets the customer take lead and he offers his opinion. I actually had fun looking for a vehicle while working with George. Even in my final steps of signing my life away lol... Andrew was very nice and pleasant. All the men were very warm, friendly and full of humor. I could not of asked to work with a better group of men. I got an amazing SUV (GMC Arcadia) for a really great price!!! I would recommend the lot to anyone. Heck my cousin and my sister both have gotten cars from Bart's! More

I bought a 2003 Ford Ranger which had electrical problems that were supposed to be fixed but it was thought to just be a fuse. NOT. When it rained, the vehicle had a leak and eventually I gutted the carpet and everything only to find SAND! The vehicle had to be submerged at least to a level where sand filtered through the carpet. Broken glass was also under the carpet. Needless to say. Buyer beware. More

I never even mentioned the price, when John, the kind gentleman that greeted us said he thinks that it may be significantly less advertised online, so he went and checked. Sure enough, he returned with a significant reduction in price, even though I hadn't even asked for it. The PT Cruiser was in mint condition, so I was happy with the price. It was right near the top-end of the KBB price, which was incredible fair considering the exceptional condition of the vehicle. I had to apply through my bank and it would take a few days for the check to arrive, so they held the vehicle for us. John was incredible through the entire process and I'm very thankful for that. Purchase was easy, paperwork was easy, and the ride home was a dream. Thanks, John, for making my wife's dreams come true. Now she can finally fit into a car small enough for her to see over the dashboard, but solid enough to keep her safe. This is the care she is learning to drive in, so both of those are very important. I would buy from them again, without question. More

Do not buy from this dealership. I was told vehicles go through inspection. I found obvious problems that would have easily found in inspection. Spray paint to cover rust. Go there if you like. I will never go back. Anybody I talk with I give my opinion about Bart's in Avon. More

Don't buy from here!!!!!! Bought a truck from there. They needed us to come back up there to sign papers for it. We live an hour away so for the second time we were driving back up there and 10 minutes from our house. The truck started accelerating and we could not get it to stop. Finally stopped it and the truck was smoking and spilling gas and oil on the interstate. Called Bart's and they wanted us to pay to have it towed and us to pay to have it fixed. Keep in mind the papers were not signed for this truck. Thats where we were going, to sign the papers. They offered no help, never even said sorry that our vehicle put you and your families life at risk. They wanted us to pay for their truck to get fixed. I am actually disgusted at this companies behavior. They will never get my business or anyone I knows business. Do not buy from them. Save yourself the trouble. They did teach me one thing though and that is to always go to a big car lot because they stand behind their vehicles vs. Bart's which is, I know the sale isnt final and your stranded but u fix it. Sad their behavior is this poor. More

Purchased the truck in August. We started noticing an occasional front end vibration when going over bumps on the roadways. It progressivly became worse until it became a complete front end shaking that occasional front end vibration when going over bumps on the roadways. It progressivly became worse until it became a complete front end shaking that involves the steering wheel and total lack of control of the vehicle. This can happen at any rate of speed and requires the vehicle to come to an almost complete stop before control can be regained. We started researching and looking at the balance of the tires, condition of the shocks etc. After extensive research we found this is a comon problem with this type vehicle and is referred to by mechanincs as the death wobble. It is basically a malfunction of the entire front end suspension system, tie rods ends, the u joints in the front end were falling apart etc. It can often occur from off roading damage or normal wear and tear on the vehicle. This is an extremely dangerous situation when heading down the highway at 70 miles an hour and having no control of the vehicle during the shake. We had to stop driving the vehicle until we found out what the problem was. As explained to us by the company that did the front end inspection there were large amounts of rust coming out of the joints under the vehicle and the problem was very easily found by a trained mechanic. I feel like this was something that should have been found and repaired by the dealership under a basic inspection of the vehicle before they put it out on the street for sale. We bought it during an event that was called the sign and drive across the country event. Implying their vehicles were fit for a long road trip upon purchase. We havent even put 5,000 miles on the truck since we purchased it. When we spoke to the dealer his reply was did we buy the extended warraty, which we did not. take note also that the extended warranty would not have covered this type of repair. I feel that I should not have to invest $2-3,000.00 of repair into a $30,000.00 vehicle within a few thousand miles of purchase. I feel that Barts also put the safety of myself, my family, and others at serious risk by puting this vehicle on the roadway. More

Purchasing at the lot seemed to go pretty smooth. Price was reasonable and our salesman wasn't pushy. However, we did not get the title the day we purchased it. We were assured we would get it in the mail shortly after purchase. It has now been 22 days since we purchased it and still no title. Wife called about a week ago and they said it should be there any day. I called again, and no one could speak with me (3 pm in the afternoon). 3 hours later I called back and still no one was able to talk to me and I was told that they could call me back on Monday. The temporary license expires in a week and Indiana law requires a dealer to give a title within 21 days... So far I feel like they treat you well till you purchase a vehicle, then they could care less about you. Will not be returning at this rate. More
