I bought a new GMC Canyon and within days found 3 areas of paint defects. Took it back to the dealer, the general sales manager looks at it, says "that's a factory issue" and goes back inside. We schedule a drop off date so they can take it to a body shop for repair and re-painting. Supposed to take 3 days. 10 days later and it's not done. Now, seems the paint shop is having issues satisfactorily completing the job. A little more difficult than they thought. I complain about the fact that my brand new $50k truck has to be painted and how disappointed I am. The dealers response is to tell me to contact GMC with my issue. That's xx! I do not want a brand new truck that has paint issues and needs to be repainted. I also do not want to contact the manufacturer about the issue. I bought it from Barker, shouldn't they represent me with GM? When I went in to look at a new truck, the general sales manager was very nice. He says, thanks for coming in, thanks for giving us a chance, what do we need to do to sell you a truck, if you buy from us we will take care of you, we will make sure you are happy.
