My wife and I just purchased an X5 from BMW of The Woodlands and had a mixed experience. Our salesperson worked very hard to find a car that met my wife's expectations in terms of both features and d Woodlands and had a mixed experience. Our salesperson worked very hard to find a car that met my wife's expectations in terms of both features and delivery date - not an easy task in today’s environment - and we appreciated that effort. But the process of ordering and taking delivery of the car was much less professional. We were rushed to make a decision on options because the car was supposedly entering the assembly line at any minute! That turned out not to be the case. As part of that process, we were sold certain options at really high prices that we really didn't want but were ultimately told that they were required instead of paying above MSRP like other dealers were doing. This included clear coat and $599 for WeatherTech floor mats which we had to go back to get after the sale and only included the front. The most frustrating thing was how they handled the financing and closing. We were informed Friday night before Memorial Day Weekend that our car would be ready the next day. That was pretty much on the original schedule - another thing we greatly appreciated. However, despite repeatedly asking for information on financing while waiting for the car to be delivered, we had not received any information during the weeks we waited for the car. As a result, I made arrangements for outside financing at a very good rate and took the pre-approval information with me to the dealership on Saturday. They could not match the terms of my outside financing but refused to allow me time to use my outside provider because the funds would not arrive prior to the end of the month. And they flatly told us that they would not hold the car for us if we left without agreeing to their financing. If cars were not so difficult to find and had we not already promised to donate our current car to a family in need that weekend, we would have walked the deal. They did give us a small price reduction to help make the financing more competitive, but it was not enough to be equivalent to our third party financing or to make us feel very good about doing business with BMW of The Woodlands. The car is beautiful, but the experience was not. More

They offered me the best price on a fully loaded X7, waited for me even though the dealership was closing for the day and stayed until all the paperwork was complete. My service advisor was really nice and made sure I was taken care of. The bummer at this dealership is that there are no loaner vehicles so you have to wait or shuttle.
