Service and headlamp issue Took in for normal service and told them about a headlamp that was going out off and on the last few months. When I picked it up they said yes they s Took in for normal service and told them about a headlamp that was going out off and on the last few months. When I picked it up they said yes they saw the issue on the computer but said they could not duplicate it so nothing was done. Was not happy about that since driving at night could be unsafe w a headlamp our. Thought more effort should have been put in. I went to BMW for higher quality of customer service. Not get the run around which is how I felt. Service guy was very nice More

overpriced services no possible way to know if repairs were ever needed. charged for "complete assessment". left dealer with dash lights still on, returned to find out no possible way to know if repairs were ever needed. charged for "complete assessment". left dealer with dash lights still on, returned to find out they insisted further corrective work done to "remove lights". had us at total disadvantage because we aren't mechanics. they even insisted that even though car has low mileage, it's still a 2008 and we should expect maintenance. well, of course. however, positioning themselves to reply with "if you can't afford it you shouldn't own it" attitude is "suck worthy". obviously they're use to adopting this attitude. the work seems guaranteed, and service guy was at least polite, if not indifferent. lesson learned. not my first car, not the first time a dealer has wiggled out of culpability. it could & should be different. considering alternatives to the dealership, dont know what I was thinking I guess. regardless, it's a fun car. 2 stars for the service guy, zero for the inflated services. More
