Had a problem with a car I bought. Ziegler went above and beyond to make it right. What defines customer service is how you are treated and taken care of when there is a time of need. I'll sell you a car! Wait, no I won't. I had a better offer from another dealer and told them so. Orland Park: If I match it, can I still get your business? Me: Sure, I guess so. OP: H I had a better offer from another dealer and told them so. Orland Park: If I match it, can I still get your business? Me: Sure, I guess so. OP: How about this X3, which has lower miles and is better equipped than your other offer? Me: Great! I'll come in this early afternoon! OP: Cool! Can you maybe come in late this morning instead? We have a holiday party this afternoon. Me: Uh, okay, I'll rearrange my schedule. --One Hour Later, as I'm about to leave (dealership is far from my house) -- OP: Oh, we ran the numbers and can't sell you the car at that price. Me: Huh? We had a deal?! OP: We said "if" we could match your deal, could we earn your business? We never had a deal. I bought at Bill Jacobs instead. These guys suck. More
Integrity, Even When Things Go Wrong Saw what was my wife's dream car, a Porsche Cayenne for sale at a great price on Cars.com. Contacted the dealer and started working with Dave Scanlon Saw what was my wife's dream car, a Porsche Cayenne for sale at a great price on Cars.com. Contacted the dealer and started working with Dave Scanlon. I flew in from Nashville and Dave picked me up from the airport which I thought was classy. Upon arriving at the dealership and inspecting the car, there was some damage or flaking paint on the passenger side wheels. Dave didn't notice this before hand and I didn't notice it in the pictures. This should have been pointed out a bit better, but not the end of the world - so they took the wheel repair off the price. We get the deal done and I'm driving back to Nashville - I notice a warning light "Maximum Oil Exceeded". Ugh - I wonder how detail oriented these guys are? As I continue to drive home now I notice a slipping or jerking when I accelerate the car or when it is under power. I am already outside of Chicago now - so I call Dave and he writes down my issues and goes to his manager. I'm starting get concerned. Did I just buy a lemon? Did anyone drive and check this car out before selling it? Did I just get taken for 30K? I get in touch with the Sales Manager Kevin Notter who advises me to go to Porsche and get it checked out. At this point I was not assured that Ziegler was going to do make this right. Porsche comes back with the diagnosis - the famous Transfer Case failure - 4800$ repair. I let Kevin know what was up and BAM just like that, they paid for the repair and got me back on the road. No - this transaction did not go smoothly, but in the end Zeigler stepped up and made this right, and for that, I think you can trust these guys. My advice to buying any car? Drive it for 30 minutes - this transfer case issue didn't happen on the test drive because the car needed to be warmed up for the symptoms to be present. Very happy with the car and very happy that Dave and Kevin came through. More
Limit your expectations If you think you're going to get your butt kissed because you purchase or lease a premium German or Asian luxury car any more those days are past. Thi If you think you're going to get your butt kissed because you purchase or lease a premium German or Asian luxury car any more those days are past. This dealership finds a way to make the numbers work to get me to my lease budget thats about it. It still takes 3 1/2 hours to get the deal done and you constantly have to follow up to get them to follow through. And at the end they get annoyed when you expect them to do what they say they're going to do. But I achieve my goals and I love my X3 best vehicle for me and to use for my business. That's the most important thing to me. The rest is fluff. More

I have never felt more taken advantage of! I leased my car on December 31, 2018 and the car had just short of 5,000 miles. During the sales process I was told that their service is so great th I leased my car on December 31, 2018 and the car had just short of 5,000 miles. During the sales process I was told that their service is so great that even if I needed an oil change, they will deliver a courtesy car to my home and pick up my car. I thought, wow, that is great! Since the day that I purchased my car, when I braked at high speeds the steering wheel shook and the brakes pulsated. The more I drove it, this happened at all speeds. My husband called to schedule service to have the brakes looked at and they told him "it doesn't take as long if you wait for it so how about....". I called and let them know that I have a job and I was told that I could receive a courtesy car (at this point I reminded them that this was not routine maintenance, but an issue with my brakes, less than 3 months after purchase). They then proceeded to tell me that the next time that they would have a courtesy car available would be about 1.3/4 weeks from that date. I accepted, as I need my car every day for work. The day before the scheduled date I worked from home as the brakes had gotten so bad that I no longer felt safe driving it. I took it in the following day, Friday and picked up my courtesy car. As of the following Tuesday I had still not heard anything from BMW (nothing at all) so I called for an update. The service dept. apologized and let me know that "we have not had a chance to look at it but your car is on the schedule for a test drive this afternoon". I finally heard back the following day letting me know that there was a "scratch" on my rear passenger tire so they pulled the rim and tire off to determine that the rim was severely damaged on the inside and outside and that the tire had "bubbles" in the tire from a severe hit to the tire. I am the only driver of the car, and I didn't hit anything (in 3 months)! This is Wednesday, the week after dropping it off. I received a call from service on Thursday stating that they didn't receive the parts they needed and that they are hoping to have it completed on Friday. Once again, no call until Monday around 11am! "your car is ready" voicemail with no explanation. I called back asking for a breakdown. They reluctantly told me that after they fixed the rim and the tire that the certified used car that I leased less than 3 months ago need a full brake job front and back with an alignment! Oh, but that is covered by warranty, but you still owe us over $1500 for the tire and rim (that was clearly NOT my issue). I asked him how I would have known during my test drive if there was an issue with the tire, he said" the steering wheel would have shook", I told him that it only shook when I put the brakes on! The worse part about all of this, is that I left a voicemail for the GM today and he returned my call and left a voicemail, I called him back and left a message around 1pm, it is now 9:15pm and I have still not heard from the GM! I am in the service industry and this is the worst service that I have ever experienced in my life! When my BMW owner friends told me to stay away from the Zeigler BMW, I probably should have listened! They clearly did not do the required certified inspections for my car on the tires or the brakes because what car needs a full set of brakes in less than 2500 miles from purchase? Oh and one more thing.....when I picked up the courtesy car (the woman who handled this was amazing and the best part of my experience) I was told that they only have about 1/4 tank of gas, but please return with the same. I drove less than 5 miles from the dealership and the gas light went on! More
Excellent Experience My husband and I purchased yet another BMW within a 6 months time frame from the first one. I absolutely love the experience, and hospitality there. O My husband and I purchased yet another BMW within a 6 months time frame from the first one. I absolutely love the experience, and hospitality there. Our car saleman guy is the best hands down. He’s professional and just down to earth, and a stand up guy. He doesn’t try and get over, or scam you out of your money. I recommend you go see Eddie Steffan and you won’t be disappointed. More
