I’ll never buy another BMW and will never take mine back to this dealership, or any BMW dealship at this point after my experience the other day. For the first time I took my car to another place for an to this dealership, or any BMW dealship at this point after my experience the other day. For the first time I took my car to another place for an oil change and being covid rules I was in the car the whole time. The oil plug broke off and when they showed it to me the threads were all stripped from the previous oil change. They were able to extract the broken plug and had a plug to use but mentioned because of the damaged threads to get it for repair asap and made it clear it was whoever did the previous oil change that had done the damage. While in the car I made an appmt with BMW down the road and I know that all my previous services had been done there. Only 10,000 miles were on the car since the last change and I was down to the last green bar on the service lights. So I know it was last done at the Bellevue BMW since I’ve only ever taken it there. Last time I was there they liked the custom work on my Z3 enough they asked to show it off in the showroom for a couple days when it was in for its last service. When I got to the service dept the first thing I mentioned was I just wanted to figure out first who did the last oil change to know who did the damage and then take it from there. They guy wouldn’t even look at it unless I put down about $200 and proceeded to blame me for everything including telling me my car had never been to the dealership before, telling me any damage was caused by the oil change place I just came from and trying to make me look like an idiot and a liar every time I said something. I didn’t have any paperwork at the time since I drove straight there. The condescending and arrogant attitude of the service department made me mad enough I left. Back home sure enough I have all the paperwork from past services there showing the last one 10k miles ago at BMW Bellevue and who did the work. Its long enough ago it wouldn’t be covered by a warranty anyway and I never even asked for anything other than just to first find out who did the work. I wouldn’t trust this place to do another oil change let alone any other service and the attitude of the service department alone will keep me from ever coming back. More
Uncommunicative and disinterested.Left a Google review outlining our experience. No status updates for 3 business days (and we were only getting a tire replaced) difficult to speak to some one directly we outlining our experience. No status updates for 3 business days (and we were only getting a tire replaced) difficult to speak to some one directly we called numerous times and left multiple messages from 12/23-12/28 (today). My husband is still there waiting for our car because we have no faith that they will respond to us if we are not on site. Ready for a new car in August and we will go elsewhere and not use this dealership again More
BMW Bellevue WA: Poor service. I called ahead of time to make sure they had the tires I needed for my preset appointment. They said yes, we have the tires you need. Then the day of our appointment, after wa make sure they had the tires I needed for my preset appointment. They said yes, we have the tires you need. Then the day of our appointment, after waiting for 30 minutes, they did not have my tires. They made us another appointment, and on that day, guess what.... only had 2 tires. Each of these appointments required that we rearrange important work meetings, childcare, and healthcare appointments. With all the people unemployed out there, you would think that someone would try a little harder to get this right. Don't make an appointment to install TIRES without what?; the TIRES! Someone in management needs to be fired over there. More
In September of 2019, the brake sensor in my X1 came on. I took it to Bellevue BMW and had new Front Brakes installed. My rep, Sasha told me that my Back Brakes were also very close to needing replacement. I took it to Bellevue BMW and had new Front Brakes installed. My rep, Sasha told me that my Back Brakes were also very close to needing replacement. Fast forward to September 2020. The brake sensor light had not come on which surprised me given Sacha's comments. I took my car into BMW to have a minor recall item taken care of and to see if the Back Brakes needed to be replaced. Chris at Bellevue BMW told me that sure enough, I "definitely needed" new Back Brakes. He also explained that my Front Brakes also needed to be replaced. Again! This was very surprising. I only added 10,000 miles since BMW installed new Front Brakes. I was working at home because of COVID and most of the driving I had done was on the highway. I told Chris that I had never heard of a car going through brakes with only 10K miles. He assured me that they were seeing this "all the time" on the X1's. Since the car was out of Dealer warranty, I decided to take it to a different shop to have the work done at half the price. I declined the service and made an appointment with a reputable auto shop that I've used for years when my cars are not under warranty. Shortly after dropping off my car, they called and told me that neither the Front nor Back Brakes needed to be replaced. He checked it twice because I told him BMW had insisted they were shot. Here is their report: Front (Disc) brakes 8.0 mm Remaining Friction Material Front Rotor Thickness 23.7 mm Right 23.7 mm Left Front Calipers and Flex Hoses OK Rear (Disc) brakes 7.0 mm Remaining Friction Material Rear Rotor Thickness 19.8 mm Right 19.8 mm Left Rear Calipers and Flex Hoses OK It seems unlikely that BMW could have made a mistake checking my brakes on two different occasions. I feel that trust has been broken and as a customer, I doubt I'll buy another BMW. Certainly not from the very dishonest Bellevue dealership. Very disappointed. More
Great new location! Great service by Michelle and her team of technicians! Be sure to double check the new address of their new location - the BMW app and this site b Great service by Michelle and her team of technicians! Be sure to double check the new address of their new location - the BMW app and this site both have it wrong. Watch for some great service deals on their website as well. Super easy to have them text you the coupon and show on your phone. Also have AutoNation parts at a lower price point if your vehicle is out of warranty and you want to save on basic things like filters. More
3 tries, 50+ days in the shop and my car is still not right. I took my X5 in on August 23rd for an oil change, fuel filter, glow plug replacement and a check engine light. They returned the car to me without do I took my X5 in on August 23rd for an oil change, fuel filter, glow plug replacement and a check engine light. They returned the car to me without doing the oil change (they still insist they did it), LEAKING diesel fuel. They did not do the glow plugs because they did not order parts. Returned the car to fix the fuel leak and the original repairs. They had my car for 40+ days. Drove the car home and the check engine light was on before we even got home. For the 3rd time we go to take the car in for service and the emergency brake randomly engages while the car is being driven, damaging the brakes and rotors. 11 days later BMW tells us the check engine light is (supposedly) fixed and insists the brake engaging was just a coincidence and gives us an astronomical quote to repair them. We pick the car up and turn the car on. Yup. Check engine light is still on. After all this no one even bothered to reset the check engine light before we came in! We dropped off a working car on Aug 23. On NOVEMBER 7th we picked the car up again for the 3rd time. It is still not working because now I need to find someone to fix the brakes and rotors (which had both been replaced in the last 6 months). I have purchased 5 cars from BMW, a 3 series, 5 series, 7 series and 2 X5’s. I still cannot believe any customer was treated this way, let alone someone who has been purchasing cars from them for 20+ years. More
Pre-owned car purchase experience A big big NO. Do not buy car than buying from this showroom. We bought the pre-owned BMW and honestly, it was the worst experience we had. It was our A big big NO. Do not buy car than buying from this showroom. We bought the pre-owned BMW and honestly, it was the worst experience we had. It was our first new car and we were very excited. Initially, when we were looking to buy the car they were like super-sweet to us and after buying, it was so terrible. 1. They trap you by offering fake promises like they going to be give you good services and low prices on that, goodies literally. When buying a car and if it’s your first time, they gonna mislead you and bait you so that you can buy their hefty packages. They definitely take advantage of you. Please research and consult your friends before buying a car and the packages else showrooms like this takes full advantage of you. 2. After 7 days purchase of the car, they actually show their true colors. We have asked for basic services which they have promised before. Ouch, they were so horrible. I never saw someone that rude my entire life. The manager was screaming at us and literally said us “you bought a pre-owned car your mistake, you have to pay by yourself for those services”. They promised us while buying that they can offer those services free of cost and without any trouble. I am so so disturbed by this experience. I would like to escalate this to BMW company that this Bellevue showroom is ruining their reputation and the guy and his manager we dealt are absolutely disgusting. We paid like around 36k for that car and felt so bad purchasing from this showroom. More
Oil Change and Purifier Replaced Back in early June my car notified me that it was time for an oil change, I called Bellevue BMW to schedule an appointment, followed their extension d Back in early June my car notified me that it was time for an oil change, I called Bellevue BMW to schedule an appointment, followed their extension directions to get ahold of the service department and left a voicemail. I never heard back. Two weeks later I get a call from the Service department stating that their records show I'm due for an oil change. So I say, "Yes, I'm aware, I already tried to make an appointment, no one got back to me." They apologize and we continue to schedule my appointment. Low and behold, the next available appointment was in three weeks, but I booked it, and made sure to confirm that I could get pick-up and drop-off service that day. So now my car is overdue for an oil change 5 weeks but better late than never. Finally a month later after my car notifying me of my oil change, it's the day of my appointment (scheduled for 2pm), I check in and I'm told I won't be able to get picked up because it will be too late in the day, even though I confirmed I could be picked up, and even though they assume it will take 2.5 hours to service my vehicle. I'm also told that they do not think my car will be ready the same day... even though it's a simple oil change and air filter replacement, and the service should be done by 4:30 since my appointment was a 2pm. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt they still have time before the service shop closes. After waiting for 40 minutes a service representative tells me that the car will be ready tonight, and I can pick it up even after service shop hours as long as the sales department is open. Now four hours later at 6pm, I still haven't heard from the Service department, I decide to call - no answer, so I leave a voicemail. I wait, call the service associate - no answer, I leave a voicemail. I wait till 7pm, call service department no answer, so I decide to call the Sales department, and I learn that no one from the service shop left keys for me to pick up my car. Therefore I have to wait till the next morning to even find out the status of my vehicle. At 7am the following morning I call the service department, no answer - I leave another voicemail. I then get a ride to the Dealership, walk in, and am told to wait 5-10 minutes to figure out the status of my car. 45 minutes later I'm told it will be pulled around shortly. No explanation of what happened, just that it was now ready to be picked up. I had to wait another 20 minutes to officially get the keys. All in all this is a TERRIBLE way to treat customers. the dealerships level of Customer Service has diminished significantly over the last few years, and I'm disappointed that management isn't doing anything about it. I shouldn't have had to wait for 20hours to get my car after what should be a 2.5 hour service, let alone have to jump through so many whoops to figure out the status of my vehicle. I will definitely deter all friends and family from ever getting their BMWs serviced here, and I regret having given you guys the sale on my car. More
