I purchased a 2006 Audi A6 in September 2012. I called Dan and he was super friendly and helpful and I was loving the experience and thought, "wow, we need something like Autos Direct in the Philadelphia area. After agreeing to a price slightly lower than the "Buy It Now" price, Dan decided to complete the transaction off of Ebay. Dan told me that everything was working well and he would personally give it a thorough once over and call me back to let me know how things were progressing. Over the next 2 weeks I had to continually call Dan and follow up on where things stood. Keep in mind, once we decided on price and I received the paperwork, I overnighted a cashier's check for the full amount and shipping. Two weeks later and repeated calls I was informed that the radio wasn't working and they ordered a new part which should correct the issue. Two days later I didn't hear anything so I called again and was put in touch with a woman in the service department who informed me that part didn't do the trick and that they were going to have to send it to a 3rd party to fix since the MMI system is fiber optic and beyond their abilities. Two more days later I was told that everything was good to go and that they would be sending me the car within a week. I finally received the car and it was in really good shape and I really enjoy the power and responsiveness of the 4.2 V8. I was having issues setting up my telephone and the voice command didn't work. I took it to the local Audi dealership and they informed me that the car needed a new gateway module to fix the MMI and get the phone and voice command to work and that it would cost $1,800. This wasn't disclosed in the posting or in my discussions with Dan. I really do like the car, however, I feel like this whole MMI issue was purposely not disclosed or was discovered while repairing the radio which is also part of the MMI system. Anyhow, I would highly recommend that you complete your transactions with them on Ebay so that you can provide feedback that will be more visible as this website is my only recourse after emailing Dan several times and getting limited responses. More
