Last week, I bought my 2006 Volvo S40 from Autos Direct Online. I had been researching this make a model for weeks. I called Autos Direct Online Monday morning and put a deposit down on the vehicle and was able to pick it up and drive it home Thursday afternoon. The whole buying process seemed pretty effortless. Being able to view the Carfax online helped ease my mind since I put a deposit down before seeing the vehicle in person. Upon arriving at the dealership, my car was pulled up to the door for me to inspect and test drive. My salesman, Danny Mac, then had all the paperwork ready to be filled out and got me out the door as soon as possible. He was very understanding that my mom and I had driven 5 hours to pick up this car and wanted to get home as soon as possible. Although I haven't yet had my car a week, I love it and am very happy with my purchase thus far! More

These "problems" were never disclosed to me prior to putting deposit down and agreeing to purchase the car even though I asked about the condition of the car and was told it had gone through an inspection and was in good condition. Their ad states "You will also find an honest, low- pressure sales approach from our friendly staff, and an accurate, forthright representation of that particular vehicle in our descriptions, including any defects or flaws" which couldn't be farther from the truth. After renting a car and driving to Cleveland on the day after the car was promised to be ready, I sat in their facility for about 5 hours waiting to have all the "problems" fixed. After finally getting to see and test drive the car, I realized from just looking at the exterior, that the pictures I had seen on their website ad were false. The pictures I had seen showed the exterior of the car with no scratches, scapes, or flaws, but the car I saw had rust, scratches, scrapes, and eventhe front end grill was cracked in several spots. I was unable to open the hood and check the engine because the hood release cable was broken. The airbag light was on and the turn signal was completely broken off and unusable and oil was leaking from the oil pan profusely ( it would collect 1 second after wiping it off), Being that I was supposed to be driving this vehicle home that day and after waiting 5 hours to see the car I would think that the staff would have known that this was an unsafe car to drive and It was not in the least bit "fixed". I was appalled that the staff would let a car in this bad of shape even be shown to a customer, let alone sold to a customer. Julie was rude on the phone to me and did not return phone calls, although when I was there, she did apologize and refunded my deposit which I appreciated. What I did not appreciate, was the wasting of time and money to look at a car that was totally unsafe and misrepresented on their website and by their staff. I have read other reviews on this site that had similar bad experiences and others who give 5 stars. I do know that they give money incentives to customers who give good reviews though. I know you couldn't pay me enough to give a good review because I care and hope that no one else ever has as bad an experience as me. This is a warning to people to never do business with this facility!! More
The customer service here is terrible. I had the worse experience with purchasing a car from these people. If you want a car that is cleaned very well but has all types of mechanical problems, then shop h experience with purchasing a car from these people. If you want the employees, including manager to not look you in the eyes and play on their cell phones as they talk to you- then shop here. Horrible place and Hillbilly people. More
Not an honest group. The positive reviewers were PAID to give positive feedback. I was promised a $50 gift card if I did. I would not buy from them if I had it to do over. The car I bought turned out to give positive feedback. I was promised a $50 gift card if I did. I would not buy from them if I had it to do over. The car I bought turned out to have a bad front hub assembly -- which is dangerous. Even more so considering they knew I had 500 miles to drive home. Also, the photos are FAKE. Here is the email I sent them which details the issues: Good Morning, Dan, I would like to know if you have spoken to your manager after our conversation yesterday regarding the front hub assembly replacement on the vehicle I purchased on Saturday. As I stated in our conversation, I was willing to overlook the cosmetic flaws on this vehicle even though they were not shown in the online photos and I feel like that is wrong. There are only a couple of explanations for this: either the damages were purposefully concealed by using images of another vehicle or the damage occurred after the photos were taken. I find either explanation to be quite the opposite of your statement on your website "forthright representation of that particular vehicle in our descriptions, including any defects or flaws." The damages are: multiple cigarette burns -- the most obvious being on the console lid. There is a very clear image of an undamaged console in the photos posted on ebay and your website 2 missing wheel covers. Photos show both sides of the vehicle, and both sides show wheel covers. car was extremely dirty yet website says that all cars are detailed and then stored. I don't know how this car could possibly gotten this dirty if it was simply stored. It looks as though it were rented out to someone who didn't care about it. large ding in the body line of the passenger side door near the window. There is a photo that shows a down the side view of the passenger's side -- exactly the kind of photo you would want to detect dents. You wouldn't miss this ding in a photo. It is simply not the same car or the photo was taken before the damage occurred. cracked taillight -- a replacement is supposed to be sent to me per Julie Since it is stated that both a pre-inspection and post-inspection were done, I felt pretty secure in this being a mechanically sound vehicle, even if it did need some work in terms of looks. It was, after all, a process that delayed my arrival to see the car by 3 or 4 days. mechanical issues: tire pressure light was on -- the guy who put my temporary tag on for checked the tires and added air for me and told me I just needed to drive it for a few minutes and it would go off -- 500 miles later, the light is still on. I checked my tire pressure to find that he had added air until the driver rear tire was up to 53 psi, the other 3 were inflated to 41. Toyota recommends 33-35 for this vehicle with those size tires. This is an extremely dangerous amount of pressure to put in a tire. I let air out and tried re-setting the TPMS per the instructions in the owner's manual -- didn't work either. The repair shop tells me that it is most likely bad sensors, which run $75-100 per tire. It could be one bad sensor, it could be all of them. after getting up to interstate speeds I began hearing a noise -- it sounded like a tire out of balance. I thought that was likely since the car had been sitting in storage. Once I got home and got settled back in, I made an appointment to take it in to the shop. I was surprised when they called me an hour later to tell me that the tires actually looked great, but that the front hub assembly was very clearly the problem. The wheel hub assembly is the breaking point that has prompted my complaints. I am sure that as someone in the automotive business, you know that means I was in danger of my wheel falling off while driving almost 500 miles home. Your establishment put my life in danger. I can not imagine that this issue would not have been caught in one of the two supposed inspections this car went through. If we can not reach an agreement on the repair bill I will have no qualms about giving a bad review on dealerrater.com where I would also offer up the bit of information that your establishment pays people for good reviews. Julie promised to send me an email with a link to the page to give a review and told me I could get a gas card, etc, but only if I give a good review (I never received an email, by the way). I am also looking at other avenues of complaint and resolution. As a sales rep for several national brands I understand the importance of customer service after the sale and the ramifications of an unhappy customer. After visiting your office, I can tell that customer service is important to you -- "Uncle Ed" came and picked me up from the airport and he was a wonderful ambassador for your business. From talking to him, I am sure you would want this issue resolved in an amicable way just as much as I do. I would like to be able to say in any review I give that you came back and fixed the issues with this vehicle once you were made aware and that you are the type of business who stands by what they sell. Thier response: I HAVE SPOKE WITH HIM. YOU PICKED UP THE VEHICLE SATURDAY IN PERSON. THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD AS-IS PER YOUR PAPER WORK THERE IS NOTHING FOR US TO DO THANK YOU So, obviously not a group you want to have dealings with. Yes, legally they don't have an obligation, but that is really a terrible way to conduct business. They clearly don't do what they promise on their website, www.autosdirectonline.com More
I purchased a 2004 Toyota 4runner. I could not match the price in the area where I live. I drove down from Michigan to purchase a truck. I was told the truck was in excellent condition. The truck had been in a major accident and poorly repaired, bondo chipping off of the hood. The backup s told the truck was in excellent condition. The truck had been in a major accident and poorly repaired, bondo chipping off of the hood. The backup sensors didn't work, the door-ajar light wouldn't turn off, 4x4 wouldn't work, and worst of all it was literally pouring oil from the motor. It has been 3 weeks and I still have not received my $500 back. UPDATE: After posting this review which they noticed and were not happy about, I was finally able to get my refund. More
It was my first time EVER purchasing a vehicle online (site unseen) and honestly I was a bit nervous about it. After receiving the vehicle today from the shipping company I was ecstatic to find the 2009 (site unseen) and honestly I was a bit nervous about it. After receiving the vehicle today from the shipping company I was ecstatic to find the 2009 F-150 I purchased was in excellent condition and just as described. The pricing on the vehicle was the best I could find and I spend 2 weeks thouroughly researching vehicles across the country. I worked with Frank, who is apparently the "newbee", and will have to say you would never know it. Frank was a friendly, knowledgeable, no-nonsense guy and worked efficiently to make the transaction extremely quick and hassle free. He communicated very well with me, returning or answering my calls promptly, and made sure that in the end the I was a pleased with my purchase. Thank-you Autos Direct and a special thank-you to Frank who made the overall experience fantastic. More
I baught a car here because Autos Direct Online proved to be the lowest priced vehicles in the entire U.S. I bought a 2004 Lexus ES 330. My first impression was that the cars must have something wrong, but D be the lowest priced vehicles in the entire U.S. I bought a 2004 Lexus ES 330. My first impression was that the cars must have something wrong, but Dan McSitye, my sales associate, explained in detail what process they take to check the car for issues. He then explained how they take care of the problems that are found. I had some legal questions regarding the title and if there was a lein on the vehicle that I bought, and they were not able to answer those questions, but besides that, Dan knew his stuff. They were flexible and all business. My son will probably buy a car from Autos Direct Online More
