I was looking online on a Sunday and had a few questions about the bronco reservation process and she responded…on a Sunday. My wife and I will probably order a bronco sport for her in the next couple of months and we will go through Christina. More
I paid $200 for diagnostics and to order a part for $1200. so about $1400 total (first trip to service center). The part came in about 4 weeks later. I made a follow on appt. online for a Friday drop- $1200. so about $1400 total (first trip to service center). The part came in about 4 weeks later. I made a follow on appt. online for a Friday drop-off on 9/2 to install the part (second trip to service center) Due to the Labor Day holiday weekend, I was told they might not get to it until Saturday 9/3 or Tuesday 9/6, and I was fine with that, no issues because of holiday. I called on Tuesday 9/6 for status. I was told the technician started the repair, BUT DID NOT COMPLETE IT. That technician was going to be out all week on training or certification testing or something. So no one else would be able to complete the repair until the following week. I was left without a car for an entire week. Was given no loaner but Ford worked to get me into a rental they said they'd pay for because of the mistake. I finally got my car back on Saturday 9/17 after paying an additional $820 for the labor (third trip to service center). So now I've spent $2,200. Three days after having my car back, the issue repeated itself so it was not fixed. So what did I spend $2,200 on then? Will I get a refund? Will the part that was installed be uninstalled since it did not fix the issue? Today is 9/23 and I dropped off the vehicle again today for further attempts to fix it (fourth trip to service center). I appreciate Ford working around to get me a rental vehicle in the mishap. But I'm pretty sure I will not get refunded the bad diagnostics (misdiagnosing the issue), or get refunded the labor or parts and will likely be charged additional instead. If I get a survey email for the follow on work, I will update. In the meantime, can a manager or corporate contact me? What can be done here? I even put more investment into Ford by opening a Ford Visa account to help with these repairs. It's an aging 2012 Ford Mustang and figured it'd be best to get interest free repairs. But not like this. The one saving grace is that the issue is intermittent. The steering wheel locks up during turning and the dashboard displays "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC". It's very dangerous to drive. It's difficult to determine if it's fixed (I guess) since it doesn't lock up every time. Only a few times in the past months. Technician probably saw steering worked fine initially and called it good/done. But its a Ford. So a Ford Service Center should be able to troubleshoot and fix. More
