We were at AutoNation to test drive the Explorer ST because we needed a 4WD vehicle. The SUV is really awesome: power, handling, features. We focused on a lease option. After about 2 hours they pres because we needed a 4WD vehicle. The SUV is really awesome: power, handling, features. We focused on a lease option. After about 2 hours they presented an offer of 2 year lease for $250 per month. This included the trade in of my 2019 F-150 with less than 14K miles. We had about 14 more payments of $960 (0% interest) but only a 2WD. So, as much as I hated to lose my F-150, the chance to have the beautiful Explorer in my garage at only $250/mo pushed me to make the deal. I had to leave for an hour and my wife stayed at the dealership. Upon my return, the financial manager told us that they could not make the original deal...I had put down "too much equity" and the bank would not fund that deal. Now the deal was $650/mo and 3 years. Still a great vehicle and considerably less than the F-150 payment. At this point we had been there nearly 5 hours. I accepted the deal, but regret that I didn't walk away and clear my head. It still feels like a bait and switch tactic, but they blamed it on new people in the financial screening process, i.e. lack of knowledge/training. More
They took my car in for what was found I be a blown transmission. I had to call to get the status after 5 days and when I picked it up, the notes said that the brakes need immediate attention. I would have appreciated them letting me know that while they had my car instead of after I picked it up. More
I can’t rate the experience a 5 star overall because only a few minutes after we picked up the vehicle it broke down on the side of the road with an issue we were told was unrelated to the repairs that were a few minutes after we picked up the vehicle it broke down on the side of the road with an issue we were told was unrelated to the repairs that were done. But they were quick to get it towed back to them and fixed the issue with no additional charge. It was obviously an inconvenience but they did their best to make it right. Matt was our service advisor and he was great! Very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. More
