My 36/100 Motorcraft battery needed replaced. It was 43 months old. I was told that Ford no longer prorates batteries and I would need to pay full price. This seemed like a breech of contract to me given I bought the old battery with the understanding of a prorated warranty. Makes me wonder what other warranties Ford may decide not to honor. The new battery was installed while I waited (2 hours). I was not unhappy with the wait given I did not have an appointment. If I knew the old battery would not prorate and provide a discount, I probably would have found another option for less cost and quicker install. More
