Imade an appoint with AutoNation Ford Katy TX the 26th of February. I was the first of three Ford vehicles to enter the service bay at 7:00AM. I had a coupon for a free system check but also asked them to d February. I was the first of three Ford vehicles to enter the service bay at 7:00AM. I had a coupon for a free system check but also asked them to diagnose my passenger window switch that was not operating. Later that day the mechanic text me a photo of my vehicle just as I had left it. No work was being done. The following day I called the service department to see if it was done. He said if I want the switch repaired its $539.00 . Now I know I can buy this switch for $24 and install it in a few minutes so I said when can I pick it up, I do not want it repaired the price is too much he said give me an hour. So I picked it up 30 hours after I took it in for a simple diagnosis. For the simple diagnosis which the service manager said took an hour as they had to take the door apart I was billed and paid $104.96 Fist of all they did not take the door apart. Anyone knows you simply pop the old switch out and plug in a new one. 5 minutes tops. So the service advisor does not know his job. If the mechanic said he took the door apart he is lying. It was not touched. After writing a negative review they asked me on their Google docs email to me they texted me and wanted to make a resolutio... (message cutoff) but gave me a phone # to call. (281)305-8949. The only practical choice was #6. which puts you back at the "Thank You for Calling" prompt and again giving you 6 choices or hold for operator. I did this 3 times as the hold for operator choice puts you right back to "Thank You for Calling". Ah I finally caught on. They really gave me this number to give me the run around just like I got from the service department. Really in 30 hours FORD builds over 30 vehicles. Finally I bought a genuine Motorcraft part from Rock Auto online and will pop the bad one out and replace then new one in 5 minutes. I purchased a vehicle from AutoNation ford Katy back in 2021. At the time of purchase, I was talked into buying a vehicle protection plan. I was given a brochure on it, told to wait till just before my b 2021. At the time of purchase, I was talked into buying a vehicle protection plan. I was given a brochure on it, told to wait till just before my bumper to bumper warranty was about to expire, and bring the car in to have the things listed in the brochure replaced. That time has come, and not there are all these stipulations on this plan. Like I explained to the gentleman at the dealership, its nice to be told one thing on all these add ons, then when you agree, that is when they give you the paperwork in regards to it wrapped up with all the rest of the paperwork. Who thinks to go back and look. Now they don't want to adhere to the word of their salespeople, and of course, they no longer work there. One bit of advice, do not go for any of these dealership add ons - they hope you forget, or find some loophole so they don't have to do the work. Forget about trying to get a hold of anybody in management. They ignore and hope the problem will go away. More
I purchased my truck in September. It is now February and I still don't have my plates. Maybe once I could believe that, but not twice. I have never worked with someone so rude, nor have I ever had a problem getting my plates when I purchased a vehicle. They are doing nothing to try to fix this situation. Five months!!! Buyer beware. More
I purchased a 2020 Dodge Journey from this place and less than 90 days later I’m told it needs a new $9K engine that ISNT covered by the shady warranty they had me add on. Told them about the issue and the salesman Drae told me the only option was to purchase a BRAND NEW car from them and use it as a trade in. Like WHAT?! WHY?! Stayed there all day just to be yelled at the end of the 7 hour day with NO resolution. To top it off, the service guy even alluded to maybe the car had an issue at trade in and I got ‘stuck’ with it. Even asked for the CARFAX AND MAINTENANCE RECORDS and was told ‘I don’t think we have them anymore’ again xxx?! So now I’m sitting on a piece of junk and out of my $2K deposit. Think 5 TIMES BEFORE EVER DEALING WITH THEM or atleast be smart and get the car checked out with an independent person. AGAIN… BE CAUTIOUS of their smooth and sometimes RUDE shady salespeople and tactics. They are doing a HORRID job of representing the FORD name. More
