Agreed to their diagnostic charge of $175 for my Denali diesel p/u truck. Their suggested repairs would not be completed until after 5 days minimum…. I was traveling and on a hard schedule so I declined th diesel p/u truck. Their suggested repairs would not be completed until after 5 days minimum…. I was traveling and on a hard schedule so I declined the $4300 repair and went to pay for diagnostic fee. Ann tried to charge me $340. I said NO and paid the $175. I immediately went to a NEARBY GM dealership and had the same repairs ($4800) completed by 730 am the next day after a mechanic agreed to work on the repairs overnight! I was on my way… on schedule. Worth the extra$$ in my opinion. Thank you, Ann for helping me make the correct decision. The doubling of the diagnostic fee was a real bad look for the dealership and left me wondering if she (or the service manager) was trying to take advantage of a traveler in a bad spot because I was unable to wait 5 days! Other than that, no problem with the dealership. I have 116k miles on the truck and always go to a GM dealership for all repairs all over the country. Never left one feeling so poorly treated as at GM Amarillo West! More
