I just recently purchased a new vehicle Monday. Traded in a previous vehicle that I purchased eight years ago. AutoNation focused on keeping me a customer by negotiating with me on my new purchase. Communication was insufficient; every contact with the dealership was initiated by me, either through phone calls or in person visits. It was overly challenging to obtain information about the status of dealership was initiated by me, either through phone calls or in person visits. It was overly challenging to obtain information about the status of my vehicle repair. The repairs required ordering of parts, which caused delays in completing the repairs. This was understandable. However, a week would pass between status updates with no clear understanding provided as to the reason for delay. Ultimately the vehicle spent 30 days in for repair. The technicians did a good job, and repairs appear to be completed effectively. However, the bad communication reflected poorly on the dealership overall - especially considering we were also purchasing a new vehicle during the time this vehicle was in for repairs. More
I contacted your dealership by email on 5/19 inquiring on purchasing the Chevrolet 1500 LT Trailboss stock # xxxxxx. I indicated that I live in Albuquerque, NM. Nicholas Roether responded by 2:30 pm tha on purchasing the Chevrolet 1500 LT Trailboss stock # xxxxxx. I indicated that I live in Albuquerque, NM. Nicholas Roether responded by 2:30 pm that day and then I called him to get the price (including a trade-in). Charlie Verrone (sale manager) sent me the quote at 5 p.m. however the quote did not include the 0.9% financing info. I spoke to Nick and told him that the trade-in wouldn't work. I asked him to get me the 0.9% financing info, and he would get me the info on 5/20. He failed to follow through and so I called him back 5/22. During our discussing, he informed me that the vehicle had been sold. As a result, I was very upset as I had no opportunity to respond. Nicholas then started looking for a similar vehicle. Nicholas and Charlie found a different stock # (xxxxxx), slightly more expensive but had all the options and color that I wanted. We discussed the details and agreed on the prices. Charlie sent me a quote for $58,782 with 0.9 % for 60 months (3:08 p.m.). I submitted the financing package and then spoke to Charlie about 4 p.m. He said that he was working on some other deals and would call me back to confirm. He never called me back. On 5/23, I spent the whole day attempting to contact anyone who could support me. After at least 20 calls and text, Charlie finally contacted me (2:30 p.m.) to let me know that he had screwed up and let the truck get sold. He had some lame excuse for what had happened. Of course, there were no other vehicles that were available with the color and options that I wanted. He apologized for the mistakes. This was the 2nd mistake, and I wasted a full week with no joy. I was very angry. I did my due diligence and respectful to all of your associates. What I got was ineptitude and terrible customer service. The only recourse I have is to send a very negative customer service response. Since AutoNation is nationwide, your dealership represents all of the company. I hope you make corrections to improve your service. Note: I sent this email to Derek Miller, General Manager and he has not responded to my email. More
